In 1984, we had our first female vice presidential candidate representing a major American political party. The Nineteenth Amendment of United States Constitution…

If you have heard of Chris Langan, it was probably within the context of “the smartest man in America.” Quite possibly that is true. There is even a theory that he is the smartest man in the world. He has a verified I.Q. of 195 and says that he has scored over…

I'm often asked to review online learning courses and provide feedback to content owners. My feedback almost always includes this sentence:
Your video is a lecture … and it is too long!
According to researchers, adult learners hate lectures. Lectures also are educationally ineffective. Yet, classroom and online "teachers" continue to use them while expressing…

We all are products of our educational experiences. Those experiences influence the way we teach other people. It's safe to say that our view of learning is limited by our personal learning experiences. Whether you are a blogger, author, speaker, entrepreneur, homemaker, craftsman, business leader, employee, or anyone I left out, you have numerous opportunities to teach and…

Are you full of hope? Hebrews chapter eleven shows people of faith are people of hope. That makes sense, doesn’t it? Those who trust God have more reason for hope than those who don’t. But problems with no visible solutions test our faith and challenge our hope.

Not to mention the cleaning supplies tend to be down in a lower area where younger hands could inadvertently get into them!
My solution –...

I quit my job at the end of the month a week and a half ago. I left for a handful of reasons:
1. Salary 20% below par for experience and background
2. 1 hour commute each way and owner will not allow more than one day remote per week.
3. technology is disparate and legacy (I'm a software engineer)
4. I'm working on a team of 1
5. The company is not growing--since I joined 18 months ago most of the meetings are about how the company is not…

Good Evening 48Days.net community! Over the past week we have been hard at work editing our first video featuring none other than my future sister-in-law's wedding shower! We talk about it all the time saying things like; I will pray for you or I will keep you in my prayers, but what does it mean to pray?
Well first of all it’s comforting to know that even the followers of Jesus had to ask to be taught how to pray “Lord, teach us to pray” Luke 11:1. They…

Oh no, Not the Pokemon-Go type games or anything like those. These are games we play when we stay at a job far too long for all the wrong reasons.
One of the things I hear consistently from many clients is how long they have been unhappy at their jobs. Many have stayed working in an area where they no longer experience joy, a sense of purpose or any contentment. They play Bored Games, Frustration Games,Blame Games and…

Anyone who knows me well knows I am most definitely not a fanatic housekeeper. I like a clean orderly house, but mine is of the “lived in” genre!
