Who was your greatest influence in developing your car passion?
Good day everyone. I have another questions for today. Who was your greatest influence in developing your car passion? Was this person a parent, sibling, aunt or uncle, friend, mechanic or someone else altogether? What impact do you think this individual, or even group, have on your future?
I think my Uncle Dave was probably my first and biggest influence. I was quite young, probably four or five years old when this started. He had all of the car magazines, car…

Decision time is made
If anyone looks back over my blog, my posts, etc. I look like I'm all over the map in 'what I want to be when I grow up.'
I'm passionate about memory keeping and paper crafting. I love to make things (that makes me an artist) and I really want to teach people on how to record their memories without the pressure of 'scrapbooking'. Women hear that word - scrapbooking - and they immediately think of these fancy, beautiful pages that conjures up the thought, "I can't possibly do that -…

Dan’s Six Month Challenge
As most members of this community know, Dan put out a challenge in his August 15th podcast. He proposed if someone would read/listen to “positive, encouraging, uplifting, instructional material” for thirty minutes each day for six months, that their income would double. He even offered to buy lunch for those who would actually do that. I know several people have written in saying they were taking him up on this. I too was intrigued, and decided to go for it and prove Dan…

So many things were going through his mind as he was transported in the back of the ambulance. “Is this it? Is this the end? There is so many things I still need to do. I still have so much to say to my family. I regret so many things. Please, I just need a little more time.”
In the many years I spent working on an…

Awareness leads to opportunities
We're about a month into our official school year here, but as homeschoolers, the learning never truly ends.
One thing we have been teaching our twins is to be aware. Awareness has many benefits, on the one hand, awareness can save a person from harm, or prevent you from being the butt of your brother's latest prank. On the other hand, awareness can open an opportunity to something unexpected.
The unexpected happened a few days ago.
I had gone to the local market to…

Have you ever tried Peruvian Cuisine?
Here in the Salt Lake City area, I have never experienced Peruvian food or given it much thought. Then three weeks ago when I was rushing to get to an appointment, I saw this restaurant in an obscure location. I quickly took note of the name and vowed to return.
And return I did. I also got to write a…

Overtime pay
You see this site is not involved in either. However with the Labor Day holiday so close and my background in and around unions I thought I would share a piece of information that has been set aside and possibly forgotten. This little bit of history helps put work and family into perspective and changed the way I viewed “overtime” forever.…

Health and Nutrition: Your Body is Sending You Messages – Are You Listening?
All too often we consider “symptoms” as annoying or alarming and do our level best to shut them down – as quickly as possible! The work I am doing now is really something I enjoy. I am a customer business manager for e-commerce. The client that I work for is well-know locally. Their household and family products uplift and better lives around the world. It is a privilege to be associated with them.
My role in business services is such that I enter orders, provide data & information, and research client questions. It suits me well to use email, spreadsheets, and websites for my…
