48days own Andy Traub, founder of MoreProfitTechnology.com sent me a great podcast from Nuclearity on wired strengths of adults and children including Jon Foreman of switchfoot.
Not only does God have a plan and purpose for our lives, he provides the corresponding strengths
as well!
This Podcast from Nuclearity Titled 'You Love A Lucy Part 3' says it…

After finishing business with a customer eariler today I asked her if she had any big plans for the weekend. She said tomorrow she was going to her aunt's birthday party. She would be 92, and added "and she's more active than me!". Mary Helen I would guess somewhere around 65.
I love hearing statements like that. I always immediately ask the same question...."so what is her (or his) secret?". I've not gotten this response yet.
Square dancing.
At her 90th birthday…

Joseph Carnevale was sentenced to 50 hours of community service recently. It’s somewhat of a funny
story, but also possibly a missed opportunity for Joseph. Back in May, while sitting in class, Joseph’s creative side came up with an idea. In true entrepreneurial fashion, he acted on the idea. That evening, Joseph took three barrels and created in…

As I review my personal mission statement I realize that, the mission statement is the driving force of my goals. For example, I have identified in my mission statement that I value caring and honest relationships, that I want to encourage others to express themselves. These things are not completely part of my make up. I have a hard time building relationships with people, so... read more

Zig Ziglar once said that "Everything affects everything!" I couldn't agree more. As a pastor, I often speak with people who are frustrated that they cannot seem to get every area of their life "clicking at the same time". Most of the time these individuals have failed to realize the "everything affects everything" principle. Living life with a compartmentalized mindset is never as effective as we think it is going to be. Our relationships affect…

I've been working on my E-Book entitled "
Competition Crushing SEO for Small Business". There are hundreds of these books out there, but this guide is the exact process I have been able to use to get my website rated in the #1, #2 and #5 spots on Bing, Yahoo and Google, respectively. I've had several friends that have been taken advantage by "SEO Experts", paying big bucks for little results. As a result, I decided to give them a guide to doing their own SEO. The cool thing is that it…

I had the privilege recently of meeting with a distinguished businessman. And no, I didn’t go to a nursing home to see this gentleman. Bill is now 81 years old but came to my office with a very big business proposal for a joint venture that would gain full benefit in the next 3-5 years. He had a spring in his step and a sparkle in his eyes – obviously enjoying every minute of our business discussion.
In asking a little about his background, Bill shared that he had some early…

Ask any business owner if he/she provides excellent customer service and they will undoubtedly answer in the affirmative. Are your customers satisfied? Again a business owner will answer yes. But the follow-up question often challenges those very same business owners: How do you know? There may be the occasional Customer Satisfaction Survey that indicates “satisfied” or “very satisfied”, but other than that, owners typically do not truly know whether or not they have established customer…

I saw both Andy Traub's and Seth Godin's videos on social networking being a waste of time. I tend to agree. After spending numerous hours figure out the use of "twitter," "reddit," "delicious" and "digg" and adding many posts to facebook regarding both my websites, I still have to claim any clients as a result of these efforts, nor do I understand how adding these links to my website will ultimately bring people to it. I tend to agree with Seth. Who cares how many followers you have?? I don't…

I recently purchased a Canon SX10 IS camera. I love it! It has many features and takes movies up to an hour. The problem is, I can't seem to copy my movies onto a DVD. I'd like to copy more than one movie onto one DVD so that I can copies for my friends and family. Does anyone know if there's a special process involved in doing this? I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Thanks a bunch!

Paraphrasing Kevin Miller in this week’s My Wired Style

Boy that is so true.

It was announced earlier in June that the WNBA team the Phoenix Mercury would have new uniforms. No, they are not unveiling a new logo. Actually the team name will be in the form of a tiny patch on the uniform. The team name was formally displayed across the front chest of the jersey as most traditional sports teams in America display them. Now, Lifelock has replaced it. The identity theft company based in Tempe, AZ is reportedly paying $1 million per year to have naming rights to the team’s…

Just wondering, anyone reading this post, and Kevin, do you earn a living doing this, or is it a hobby and a little cash on the side? Do you see income potential for any peripheral businesses, such as backpacking meals, or specific gear? I have just begun teaching beginning backpacking to a specific group of women and although I look forward to teaching and getting outdoors, it takes me away from my family on weekends a lot. A few times a season is fine, I can do that, but its not much of an…

I’m currently working with a physician, a high level specialist who is respected nationally. Yet his description of his situation is summed up in –
“I’m at the top of my game and I have no life.” Yes, working 100 hours a week will culminate in that unfortunate end result, no matter how excellent your work may be.
This physician is trapped in the model of generating linear income only. He gets paid very well but as soon as he stops operating or consulting his income stops as…

I love to rise early. This morning I settled into my chair on the deck with my cup of coffee….and a LOT of questions on my mind.
Where should we move to next? What will homeschool look like this year? What about the many dreams I have….that haven’t materialized?
I don’t know about you but when I have so many things on my mind, it makes me want to go back to bed.
The prayer that I’ve prayed many times over the years, (yeah verily…I can pray it in King…

Well, I haven't been on here in awhile, mainly because of time, but none the less I'm still digging internally on to the work I love. I've been working with a buddy of mine planning a skydive apparel company, designing, dreaming, planning, etc. I have been loving it, I've actually been getting excited about meeting with him and spend hours working on stuff with it! As a matter of fact the more I do the more I dread coming to my 85 (8-5 j.o.b).
I've been playing with a computer…

Morals Improve Stock Market Returns?
When it comes to investing, many question the role of morals in relation to one's portfolio performance. Can you have profits and principles? Or do you have to sacrifice one to gain the other? After all, don't those who lie, cheat, and steal make the most? And those who are honest, ethical, and true to their moral compass suffer?
This is truly how many Americans think. You have to sacrifice returns in order to pursue your values…
