Someone asked me why I go to prison. It wasn't a planned visit or even one I desired, but here's my story:
I had worked the inner city of Nashville for about 15 years prior to my entering a prison. I taught ladies Bible classes, unwed mother's classes, worked with teens, taught seminars, and went to camp for several years. I was seen in the downtown projects on a regular basis. I was ministering to ladies that were hungry for a need to better themselves and their way of life.…

My brother gave me some words of wisdom the other day. He told me to get my site up and running. Worry about all the other stuff (techie details- later. I know who I want my host to be. I know what I want my domain name to be. I know what I want the content to be. I know what I want to accomplish.
It can grow. It doesn't need to begin at what the complete vision is. No, you don't jump in completely unprepared or without any forethought. But, getting bogged down in having everything…

Hey Gang,
I wanted to take a minute or two to just brag on 48Days.net and everyone that has made this community possible. Since this community was developed I have had more access to information and valuable resources than ever before. Through this community I have been able to get connected with a fellow that is now a good friend and mentor, AND a new business partner. He has introduced me to an organization that I know is a fit for my personality and passion to help others succeed…

Change the Rules
Yesterday I wrote about changing the rules. If you do not like the results, I suggest you change the rules. Following the same rules that got you in trouble in the first place will only produce the same end result. Without a change, you are doomed to repeat past mistakes. Look at things in a new way. Follow the rules below, and you will find financial freedom. (Please note that the following allocations would apply to…

We just had someone email that he wanted a refund on the only purchase he ever made from 48Days. That was a teleseminar from over a year ago where the cost was $.97 – that’s right – ninety seven cents. He maintained that he was serious – even though he also stated that the teleseminar was very helpful.
I cringe at the thought of this transaction. Trust me, we gave him his $.97 back – even though there was no physical product; he just listened in on a phone line. But I cringe that…

Our Worst Enemy
When it comes to spending, people often become their own worst enemies by following poor advice, making bad decisions, and backing themselves into a corner. After all, isn’t that today’s American way of life—live, spend, and die broke? The American Dream has turned into the American Nightmare for many families. You can either learn to master your money or become a slave to it. Which would you rather be: slave or…

I got laid off today. I was upset, naturally, as anyone would be. But now, I am looking at this as an opportunity to move forward and go to the next level. That's all I know to say right now.

Listened to a cool interview where the guy was high up millitary brass and he was comparing millitary leadership with biz leadership. He said the key in the millitary is that stress, life and death, is such a reality that the measures of leadership are different than in biz. The bottom line is less fluff, more substance when the chips are down. He used the word competence. When your life is on the line, followers care less about a leaders charisma and more about his/her…

I am getting ready to kick off a "guided" self-study with the 48 Days full Participant kits. I have 5 persons in the group and would like to get a few more. Because we changed it from a regular attendee seminar to a teleclass, plus personal work, plus individual coaching session...we can take anyone from anywhere! I would like to finalize numbers by this weekend...so, if you know of anyone who would like to participate...let me know!
Many of the folks in the group have been recently…

Not really. But some times I wonder.
When I woke up this morning I must admit I wondered "Why?" Why did God not just take me home last night. Why do I have to go to this stupid job? The money part I could get delivering pizza's a couple hours a night. Then I would be free to do what I want during the day. Oopps not enough money. There's not even enough to pay for the gas to go volunteer somewhere. I’m so beat I just wish it would end. My wife just wants me to get a job that makes money and…

The Hot-Button List
J.C. Watts once said, "Character is doing the right thing when nobody’s looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that’s right is to get by, and the only thing that’s wrong is to get caught.” There are many companies that produce products and services that blatantly oppose what you believe in. You may be knowingly or unknowingly investing in companies that are fighting against moral and…

It is so interesting to watch the things we deem unimportant, monotonous, or even, eventually wrap themselves into a neat little package.
This is what I have just experienced. Attempting to work our way out of debt, we became Dave Ramsey junkies. And that's how we were introduced to 48 Days. I read the book, and at first, maybe dismissed it. Although the concept pricked my ear, I had just been so beat down by my office job, that I thought this sounds good but...
As I…

Then there are the businesses that are the
Sole Providers in this small town for: Natural vitamens, wine cellar, UPS, Goodwill, crafts... If you need those things in…

It seems that these days, social networking sites are the craze. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Ning have revolutionized marketing as we know it. However, there is one tool that might be overlooked among the latest and popular ways to market your business. Its called, email.
There is simply something about getting an email from a company that you purchase from regularly that makes you feel good. Its because a relationship has been built. I don't know about you but I look forward to…

A paid blogger opportunity for an entertainment channel on Latino celebrities has recently come my way. I am a newbie, having only print magazine experience. How should I charge? i.e. hourly, per post? What are the going rates so that I have a good number to negotitate with? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
