Have You Been Mediocred?

I know... mediocred isn't a word. It is, however, a reality. I see it in my life and in the lives of others. You know you've been mediocred when mediocrity becomes the norm. I've worked with and for people who were mediocred. I've had conversations with clients who were mediocred. I've even consulted with companies that exhibited characteristics of being mediocred. How do you know you've been mediocred?Comparison Shift — There was a time…See More

Four Types of Content You Should Offer

I work with a lot of entrepreneurs who are looking for ways to serve more people better. In other words, they want to improve what they have to offer while also reaching more people. Though that's a common objective, different people approach it in different ways. Some see their content as far less important than it really is. Others only see one way of offering content to their audiences.Four Types of Content You…See More

Is Your Content Under-Performing?

A few years ago, I attended a conference designed to help me monetize my self-published books. Though the tips were great, the end results were dismal. My book sales didn't skyrocket. Having my book available on Amazon didn't catapult it to a best sellers list. In short, it didn't work. My content didn't perform as I expected.I've had conversations with other entrepreneurs who have had similar experiences. Their books—though well…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I have been a 48 Days fan for years and have attended many of Dan's events. I hope to be an active participant in the dreams of others while I seek to fulfill my own purpose in life.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am a certified instructional designer and oversee instructional technology at a medical college. I love helping people bring their ideas to life by making them teachable and actionable. I do a lot of freelance instructional design in the form of creating study guides, workbooks, and other teaching resources.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to inspire people to be their best, to never settle for mediocrity, and to make a difference in whatever they do. A parallel interest is coffee roasting, which is a hobby at the moment.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to create a life that I never want to retire from.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a writer, teacher, encourager, and thinker.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?

What is an educational leader? It's a person in a specific area of expertise who is viewed as an authority or the go-to person for information, guidance, wisdom, and encouragement. Dave Ramsey is a financial educational leader. Dan Miller is a career educational leader. John Maxwell is a leadership educational…

Five - Fifty - Forever… An Invitation

Posted on August 17, 2016 at 8:54am 1 Comment

I'd like to spend about five hours with you. Now, you might think it's impossible because there are so many of you and just one of me. Just imagine, however, how that five hours might go. First, I'd want to know a little bit about you and what makes you tick. I'm sure coffee would make its way into the conversation, as well. I'd probably jump into basic coaching questions in order to learn something about your hopes and…

Hello Terry,

Welcome to the 48Days community. We are glad you are here. My name is John Henderson. I like to take some time each week and welcome new visitors.

You will find this place to be a wealth of advice and information. You can read blogs by other members, start your own, jump into a discussion in the forums, join one of the great groups for a more focused conversation and much more.

I am the group leader of Lifewise Transitions. We help people realize their dreams by giving them focused advice on their specific obstacle. Does technology, motivation, focus, your past or any other hurdle stand in your way? We can help.

You can join the conversation here Lifewise Transitions.

Welcome Terry,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
