#027: Discovering, Engaging, and Living Your Dreams [Podcast]

In this episode, we continue talking about your DREAMS. I recently conducted a seminar in which we focused a great deal on truly engaging the passions, dreams, and desires that God has put in one's heart. Your destiny is tied directly to your dreams; your dreams originate with God; your success is totally depended on you fulfilling those dreams. As you embark on a New Beginning, let's…

Today, I'm turning over the screen (is that a saying?) to the Happy Wives Club Blog Tour, which I am super stoked to be a part of, along with hundreds of inspiring bloggers.

The Power of Today
I am so excited to share with you the Power of Today. This Power of Today is a powerful life changing principle, and if we take the time to accept it and apply it, it will continue to change our lives daily.
The truth is that each one of us sometimes puts this principle to work in our lives; however, it is lost many times when we need it most because when we do apply the Power of Today, we generally apply it out of natural instinct rather than applying it…

The other day, I was required to listen to a supplemental insurance agent while at work. I knew that I wanted to wave coverage, so I immediately asked for the waver form when I walked into the room. As I signed it, the agent tried to engage me. I was civil and tried to keep up the banter. Yet I had to speak my mind. Some of what I said is below, along with some thoughts.
My view is that insurance is oversold in this country. I don't need more insurance nor another costly bill that…

Time to Start a Different Path.
I have always wanted to go into ministry. I love the study and dissemination of the word of God. I like helping people understand how it can apply to life today. I haven't been successful in getting support to go to school or to preach. I love public speaking. When asked the question from the book Start "if you died in a plane what would you have wanted to have done?" (Not sure if that is the exact quote.) Well preaching comes to mind.
So, I believe that I have found…

Time to Follow My Passion
I'm listening to Dan's call. It is just what I needed tonight. I know my passion without a shadow of a doubt. I have wanted to follow my passion for years and I have always drug my feet due to the need to be financially sound and make money. I've always followed the money and though the things I've done I was capable of doing they were NOT my passion.
I'm making a commitment tonight to begin to follow my passion. Whatever it takes. I would appreciate others encouragement and…

Servant Leadership: A Legacy of Love
He was my coach over 30 years ago and today he is still my coach. The lessons he taught me on the basketball court and track field pale in comparison to the lessons he daily demonstrated in how he led his life…how he continues to lead his life.
Though I didn’t realize it at the time, his character, his integrity, his spirit of excellence and yes, even how he spoke (he never cursed, but often said “cotton pickin” and for some reason told us once to hold the basketball like we…
