Guess this is one of those jumps.
Completing my novel "B.I.C. Cartel," about some folks who keep forgetting about their special gifts and/or letting the dysfunction of life supersede them.
Or something.
Anyway, Part III went live on Amazon. In the process of completing the final (full) version for a March 10 launch date.
Down the road - maybe toward the end of March? - will have a deluxe version of this work, with some info on how to get an accountability group…

Health and Fitness: Have You Fallen for One of These Extremes?
There are two extremes I see people fall into and neither one is healthy. Neither will help you achieve the level of fitness or lose the weight you want to either.
Extreme #1: It’s okay to eat whatever and however much you…

The Silent Killer
There is a vicious killer that is destroying marriages one by one. It sneaks into home; hides in mobile devices and home computer. It hides between the pews in churches. No one who comes in contact…

Trademark/Naming issues
Hey all -
Quick question - I'm working on coming up with a name for a blog/podcast page I'll be putting up around Social Entrepreneurs - one of the names I really like 'changepreneur' is fairly widely used, but is technically trademarked by this organization: http://silverspeaks.com/blogs/2011/04/
Or at least... she's put the TM sign on her website.
Anyone had any experience with this? I wouldn't be surprised if…

Strategies for singles...
I was on an online webinar last night, and the leader brought up an interesting point that I think I had always kind of known, but never fully articulated or admitted: we singles may tend to be less productive because we feel less pressure to produce.
I hadn't fully thought about it until just then, but I think it's true... to be fair, I don't have much to compare it to - I don't yet have a family, so I don't yet know what those pressures are like, but what I do know is that…

Defining Social Entrepreneurship
As some of you may know, my primary focus in life is empowering social entrepreneurs. I study this at a university, but mainly am interested in how 'real' people and entrepreneurs are living this idea out every day.
That being said, it's become clear to me that there's not really an agreed upon idea out there of what Social Entrepreneurship really means - I don't think that's necessarily a problem, it can…

Sequel to Hourly, By the Job or Pay me what it's Worth
Well I finally did it. I did my first paid speaking event today and I feel it went pretty well. I'd written a blog a few weeks ago titled Hourly, by the job, or pay me what it's worth. In a nutshell I wasn't comfortable naming a price so I left it up to the customer. He came back with a figure of $70/ hr. I have to admit I would have never come up with that number. He based it on what he's paid other consultants. The early feedback is they want me to come back for 2…

Team Publishing: A New Way to Be Published
from the Querythis blog
Self-publishing is at times a long, lonely road. There are countless decisions that you must make as a self-publishing author. Who will edit your book? Do you even need an editor? How will you publish your book—print, Kindle, iBookstore, Nook, a combination? Do you need a typesetter for the ebook? How do you market your book? When does marketing begin?
In the face of…

Is your marriage "good enough"?
When you’re committed to improving your marriage, you’ll find life-changing lessons when and where you least expect them.
A few months ago, I got a package from a friend and mentor. In it was a very nice note and a copy of Michael Hyatt`s fabulous book Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World.
The book…

Health and Nutrition: To Skim or Not to Skim – IS that the Question?
I remember when I was pregnant with my oldest son 30 years ago. My husband would make me drink huge glasses of skim milk mixed with Carnation Instant Breakfast powder. He wanted to be sure I got enough calcium for both of us and figured the chocolate powder would just make it that much easier to get me, a non-milk…

ESP,CIA and more
Please don’t let this post get out to the CIA, FBI or the KWDRS. (If you have to ask about that last one, you’re better off not knowing!) I have been doing some digging into your life and have uncovered something you may want to know.

Why you should kill great ideas.
For the first time in 3 years of trying to launch my free agency, I have today found the source of nearly all the setbacks I've encountered - I have failed to kill my great ideas. Yes, I know that seems harsh and slightly ridiculous, but let me explain myself...
I've had lots of 'great' ideas as far as I was concerned -I bought a domain and started up an Ebay biz called universitypawnshop to buy…

Over the past couple years I’ve watched a few episodes of ABC’s “Shark Tank” TV show. I’ve found it intriguing, but haven’t got into the show so much that I felt like I had to see every episode.
A few weeks ago when my wife and I were at home, a rerun of the show came on. She said, “Shark Tank is on,” and I said, “OK.”
I was sure glad that we watched this one all the way to the end.
About the Tree T Pee
The final entrepreneur in season 5, episode…

Recognizing and Resisting Deadly Darts
I climbed into bed longing for sweet sleep, but an uneasy feeling settled over me. Earlier that day I’d run into a friend I hadn’t seen for a while. She’d been kind but reserved. Had I offended her?
What’s going on? I wondered. Suddenly I knew. This was a dart from the enemy. As soon as I called it what it was, the accusations ceased. I sank into my pillow and slept.…

I went boot shopping. It was not a pleasant experience. My husband felt I should own a pair of boots for the winter, and he suggested I find a nice pair. While shopping I came upon these boots. Are they not the craziest things? Who would wear them? I don’t know who WOULD wear them, but I know who would NOT wear them.…
