At the stroke of midnight tonight, New Year's Eve, what will you be doing?...What are your New Year's Eve traditions?...Most people will make a toast with champagne (or sparkling apple cider/grape juice) and kiss the people they love, wishing them a "Happy New Year"...Some people will stand on their front porch while banging on their pots and pans (or use noisemakers) for a minute or two, clearing away old…

What's In It For Me? (Part 2)
Are you living your life the way you hoped or the way you think you have to? There are a million reasons people believe they are "stuck" in their specific situation from economic to health or relational reasons. It is true some situations can't easily be changed if at all but that doesn't mean you are "stuck". Your resolve to move forward or stay where you are is internal and you can tweak your situation often by just your thoughts and…

Here is some New Year's Eve trivia for you: Guy Lombardo and his band the Royal Canadians played "Auld Lang Syne" for the first time at the stroke of midnight in 1929 at a New Year's Eve party in New York City at the Roosevelt Hotel and that started the tradition...And the song "Auld Lang Syne" is an old Scottish song written in the 1700's by Robert Burns..."Auld Lang Syne" translates into "old long since" meaning "times gone by".

Palm Trees in Paradise
All around the island of Maui, palm trees lean out over the water. It makes for a beautiful picture, but it got me to thinking… why are they all leaning? Further inland, trees grow straight and tall, so why do those on the beach seem to be reaching for the water?
There are a few theories, and, interestingly enough, understanding the reasons these tropical…

What Have I Done?
Not quite at panic mode yet. But I can feel the anxiety rising. I've started a online business and am about to launch, but . . . Can I really do this? The website is almost finished. http://www.donitakpaul.com/shoppe/index.php
I've invested over a thousand dollars and so I am not about to back out. But man, I really think I found 48 days because I needed it.

I have been extremely busy over the last few months, but I wanted to take a moment and share with you an awesome piece of software that I am using to write articles much faster. I write a lot of content for my blogs and at times I can get a little burned out. Over the summer I wrote over 300,000 words of content for my blog and I expect to be over the 1 million word mark before the year is out. Sometimes, I will do some research in an attempt to gather facts or insights from other articles…

Years ago, I was invited by my lovely wife, Sharon, to go water skiing. Sounds harmless enough, right? Let me paint a picture of what was going through my mind.
This lake was located about an hour from our hometown in Florida. Being originally from New York, my obvious question to her was, “Aren’t their gators in the lake.” Keep in mind, I lived in Florida for the
previous 8 years but never ventured into swimming into any lake due to
my fear of gators and snakes. This fear…
