Debt Ceiling : The next gloom and doom
While we are still not out of the recession our next gloom and doom story for the media is in full swing. The debt limit ceiling, should we raise it or what? The media is on fire with this one and it has a lot of people…

Systematic Approach with Goals
For a number of years I have run a tiny niche business based on the name of a man who died in 1968. His work has passed into the public domain and I did a bit of work to clean it up, reformat it, and have built a web site, a Yahoo! Group, and a Facebook page to put a little community around it. The point has never been to make a bunch of money, but to preserve his work and introduce more people to it. Since it is a tiny niche I have been able to maintain the number one spot in Google…

A “Mental Enema”
“Once we rid ourselves of traditional thinking we can get on with creating the future.”
– JAMES BERTRAND
When one comes to network marketing with a background in traditional business, more often than not, they bring baggage. Many of the ways traditional business are conducted run afoul with the tenets of a successful network marketing business.
Challenge for…

This weekend we had the opportunity to work overtime at my job.
OVERTIME = $$$TIME AND HALF
It felt great to think of "all the money" I would be making.
yet I couldn't help thinking about other more enjoyable, more productive and less draining ways I could be using my time.
Until then...Selah…

I’m retired. Do I have a responsibility to share my experience or can I just be happy?

Starting a business can be scary when you see money as an obsticle before you that must be overcome. Most start-up ventures are started with the entreprenuers own capital. I am a firm believer in bootstraping. Going to the bank and securing a loan and all it intails is a very discouraging method when faced with all of the paperwork and red tape. My philosophy is simple: Make a…

People are more easily led than driven
“People are more easily led than driven.”
–DAVID HAROLD FINK
Our teams are a volunteer bunch. They don’t join network marketing to get another boss. I’d much rather have an excited new associate that I have to help “slow down to speed up” than a rep that requires a fire be lit under his tail to do anything.
Challenge for today:
Do you have anyone that is excited and taking…

How do I obtain health insurance for my family if I were to give up a relatively secure job where I have been unhappy for the entire 3 years & 26 days of employment?

But, that NEVER happens!
But, that “NEVER” happens!
Yeah right! Seriously? It never happens? And yet….it did…and another thing that never happens will happen next month. And it will put the hurtin’ on the old bank account. Maybe it will wipe out your vacation savings or your car replacement money. New A/C, new fuel pump, trip to the ER, stolen bike…fill in the blank. It will happen, are you ready?
“Yeah, but, that only happens once every few…

What are you doing for fun today?
In my specialized practice, I don’t see the same patients on a regular basis (I don’t think anyone wants to see me on a regular basis, to be honest). As much as I wish to know them better, sometimes, it is just as exciting to be able to meet…

Pour yourself into their success
“The ratio of We’s to I’s is the best indicator of the development of a team.”
-- LEWIS B. ERGEN
It’s not about you. Network marketing is about what you start. It’s about how many other individuals you can help reach success on the road to time freedom through life-changing, passive residual income.
Challenge for today:
Examine the list of people you shared one…

Only thinking about what we want: On Ricochet the dog and raising children
I wrote a post this week about raising children, and how we are sometimes so immersed in what we think they should be that we miss what it is that they have the skills and strengths to do best.
My inspiration flowed from the video I saw on Pei Kang's blog. Thank you, Pei! (Just as an aside: Have you noticed that you just never know where or how your next idea will come to you?)

Quick 1, 2, 3, 4 on How to Make Chickens Tell Stories
I have a vision to run a 100 mile race one day. However, it would be impossible for me to do unless God showed up. I’ve ran a half marathon already, and my next most achievable goal is a full marathon this fall. I know I have that one down, but it will be a stretch. After I accomplish that, I’ll go for…
