5 Effective Tips for Starting a Business
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” – Colin Powell

Polyurethane fumes assaulted my nose when I opened my car door. We’d spent a week out of town while our floors were being refinished. I couldn’t wait to see them. I peeked through the windows. My stomach folded. They didn’t look like the furniture I’d asked them to match.

One day when working on the ambulance, we received an emergency call for foot pain. Honestly getting a call of this nature happens all the time in 911 systems. However, this ‘foot pain’ call was about to get very interesting.

Find Work From Home Opportunities that Fit You
Years ago, I worked for a large corporation that was amenable to home offices. In fact they prided themselves for their "positive contribution to environmental concerns" which truly worked for my benefit.…

Healthy Foods: Connection Between Salt and Autoimmune Disease
“Processed foods and the loads of nutrient-stripped salt that they typically contain could be a leading cause of autoimmune disease, according to new research.”
We’ve all heard the experts tell us (for years!) to stop using salt to avoid high blood pressure. Last week…

During tough times, our excuses will come easier. Think about it. The common cold suddenly becomes a major deal when our kids go back to school after not having their homework from the night before complete. That old knee injury seems to act up more on the days that you don't feel like going out running. Facebook suddenly becomes a top priority over that report you were struggling with.…

Wednesday is October 1st. Can you believe that 2015 is just a few months away? For me, the last 9 months has been a time of transition and reconnecting with purpose. Six Month Challenge - Day 31
Wow. The last question I worked through from “The Millionaire Messenger” today was: “If in 12 months I looked back at my last year, I would know I had stayed on the path to mastery if I could see I had…” As I finished completing that statement I realized I had just defined my business…

Six Month Challenge Recap – The First Thirty Days
The first thirty days of taking Dan’s six month challenge have had a profound impact on my thinking. I have always been a voracious reader and learner, but while I generally had specific times of the day earmarked for reading, they were often hit and miss depending on what life threw my way. I know the practice of making an unmovable appointment with myself for a minimum of thirty minutes each day, and taking notes on everything I read and learn during that period, is developing a…

Do you have a humorous automotive story to share?
This is a more light-hearted question for you. Do you have a humorous automotive story to share? Something clean of course. Something like, you either asked someone or someone asked you to pick up some headlight fluid or a muffler bearings while at the Car Parts Store since you were out?
As for me, one story that pops up once in a while was that when I was much younger and attending the local junior college, I worked in an Auto Parts Store here in Florida. It was…

Yet, we find it just so hard to say no. So, against our better judgment, we say yes to whatever the request may be and regret it immediately. We know we are already stretched too thin. We don't…
