GREEN Tip of the Day October 30, 2010

This idea works not only for the holidays, but for any time you're having a party...When you're adding ice cubes to your drink, sometimes the ice cubes in the bottom of the ice bucket are a melted mess...To solve this problem, place a colander on top of the ice bucket then add the ice cubes to the colander...If the ice cubes start melting, the excess water will drip into the ice bucket and the ice will be easier to grab with tongs...Problem solved!

Here's a simple and easy decorating idea for Christmas...Purchase several spools of Christmas craft ribbon (ALL the same color/print)...Wrap the ribbon around anything such as throw pillows, lamp shades, pillar candles, a vase...Use your imagination and don't go overboard...By using the same color/print ribbon to decorate throughout your home, it creates a cohesive look from room to room with minimal cost.
