Thanksgiving

We all have so much to be thankful for!

My wife got a call last Thursday that her father would be undergoing quintuple heart bypass surgery. We loaded up the crew and headed for Mississippi. He came home today in good spirits and as healthy as you can be after that type of surgery. We are thankful for the doctors and nurses who cared for him and we're thankful for the successful surgery.

Be a thankful boss - Write a letter to your employee's parents!

I have now done this twice in my career and I cannot tell you how heartfelt and sincere a practice that it is. Once done, the rewards of appreciation and loyalty can be very deep and long lasting.

No Love for the "Big 3" - a poor business model.

Most of the public response for "our" government to help bail out the "Big 3" automakers is - let them sink or swim. It amazes me why the main media and the "Big 3" are surprised or appalled by this response. Perception is reality, there is no love for these manufacturers.
