- How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- I first heard Dan speak at Dave Ramsey's Certified Counselor Training, Feb. 2005. Since then I have been very interested in Dan's unique perspective of finding work that involves passion, and oh yes, a paycheck as an added bonus!
Dan and Dave, through God's leadership and guidance, have led me down the path of much needed hope. They have turned me on to a positive side of living, that in my sincere opinion, wouldn't have been possible had I not met them.
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- After 30 + years in the manufacturing environment, our business unit at Dura Automotive sold and moved to Canada. Result: I went from being gainfully employed, to another statistic sitting in the unemployment office!
On the positive side of this; I am now pursuing other opportunities that I would not have considered if our plant had not closed. I am now working for the State of Tennessee Dept of Transportation on a full time basis....AND....working at a part time job, both of which I thoroughly enjoy! The journey isn't over yet though. I KNOW there are even bigger things in store for my family and I! Life just plain ROCKS!!!
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- To open my own business here in Cookeville, TN as a life/career/financial coach.
Two areas I am passionate about:
1.) To help folks realize that in this land of opportunity, the old work model of "living paycheck to paycheck" and from "Thank God it's Friday" is an extremely generic way of the thinking, and;
2.) There is MUCH more to work than having a "J-O-B"! Our work should be meaningful and have positive impact on everyone around us. Through our work, we should be able to make a difference in this world, and be proud of it. I would absolutely LOVE to help others realize, and ACT on that way of thinking.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- To be around positive minded people that will encourage me, and that I can be an encouragement to as well.
Another major goal I have is to do work that is built around my family, not family built around my work. That is VERY important to me.
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I constantly look for ways to encourage others. I love seeing other people happy and prosperous. When I can play a small role in helping others win, I win too! I also try my best to relate with others.

Hey Gang,
Just wanted all my 48 Days buddies to know about my wife and I, and our 29 years of a great marriage as of today.
I am very blessed by our almighty God that he has seen fit for Gloria and I to be together this long. With everything the way it is, and divorce running at an all time high these days, yes, we are surely blessed that our family is still together. "AND THERE'S MORE!"
