- How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- Helped create it, and I hope to help people discover a whole, new, beautiful world of 'Free Agency.'
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- Full-time self-employed.
- And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
- To reach more people and have the honor of making their ideas viable realities. To be a voice that communicates real truth on how to become self-employed...not just generate a big audience on the hype of it.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- Working to lead my family more authentically and effectively in our faith. I'm an endurance junkie and want to run up Pikes Peak again...but also want to put on 10lbs of upper body muscle in 2009!
- What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- Communicating Core Values. Everyone is trying to communicate to the world with who they are, what their message is, whether it's personal, business or values. Yet few do it effectively. My passion and burden is for valuable messages to be positioned and communicated in a way that they are heard by the exact people who need to hear them.

First, give me a room of 100 self-employed people. The one's who have a discernible, branded niche are having more success, hands down. Even if they aren't the best providers. Even if their niche was accidental (I've seen it happen many times).
The rest of the folks in the room may be brilliant at what they do...experts. But they are in survival mode or about to be one of the next business start-up failures because they haven't separated themselves out.

Thought you'd like to know: My consulting biz is doing well - have picked up several new clients, and working with them to assist in their branding, website development, fundraising appeals, grant requests, etc. Still plenty of freelance writing opportunities as well, but only 24 hours in a day! Completely flexible work/lifestyle, so great with our children and their activity schedules, too. I am content, and the possibilities still in front of me are amazing. Dave and I have several joint income streams as well - living the "multiple streams of income" lifestyle has been very liberating and joyful!

Getting back on the horse, so to speak, after a bit of a hiatus. I need to step it up and find out what I need to do when I 'grow-up.' Listen to some of the Free Agent stuff; Have read your dad's stuff. The real thing I am struggling with is, "What am I wired to do? What am I really good at? What will keep me charging at late at night and early in the morning?"
Currently, a General Manager at a heavy Mfg company, but want more! Tired of working to others agendas; Need to work to God's agenda.
Any suggestions, as to where to start, in order to find my passion?

- A product/service (provice) is 10% content and dissemination and 90% marketinging/branding. I have a couple of directories of domestic healthcare providers and am mulling how to make my provice (research concierge, knowledge products) a compelling way to satisfy the need. This is a great exercise for clarifying the elements I have to design, Kevin.
