Disruption, Anxiety and ultimate Surrender. Let's sit down for a meal!

Hello, Where have I been a few of you have asked? My answer is that I thought that I was pretty good at basic math but now I doubt that. What I mean is back in November we had baby #2, a sweet little boy. Up until that point, our routines were set. I scheduled time for writing, my other work, family,…See More

Okay, so a new baby in the house does take more time than I had anticipated. Our daughter is almost 4 so the routine was in place. A new baby boy threw a wrench in that. Not as much time for personal development but I am being much more deliberate now.I'm still doing the food writing and actually have some neat stuff in the works. Hello Family and Foodie Travel Adventures-my trip to the Twin Cities

Hello Gang, It has been a while. My wife gave birth to our son last week. It has been busy since but the most difficult part was her being on bed rest for about 5 weeks prior to the birth. Some days were exhausting but I learned to take things one day at a time. I am here and thriving.I found that if I stuck to my…See More

Sharing Enthusiasm: Invited to Breakfast and Lunch

Hello, For anyone that has followed what I do, I am a Food Writer. It is so much fun to visit restaurants and enjoy their delicious cuisines. Most of my vacations are based on finding food, with little else on the agenda. That drives some people nuts but I love it. Just last night my wife was telling me how…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about the community through Dave Ramsey. I am "between jobs" and love listening to Dan, reading his book, and exploring my passions. It is amazing. This is the best thing that has happened in my professional life. I look forward to updating Dan in the future on my new business.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently Self-Employed as a Real Estate Agent.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
My goal is to be financially free in the next 5 years (Thank You Dave Ramsey). I am a self-proclaimed Foodie. I sure love cooking and eating. I love to review restaurants and am looking to build a concept. My blog, www.hometownslop.blogspot.com is where I put up recipes & review. I would love to turn this into free-lance work for reviews, critiques, write books, start restaurants & products.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I love to mountain bike but haven't for a couple years. "Too Busy" like you hear everyone say but it is because I have not prioritized it. I love spending time with my wife & daughter, traveling, cooking, watching baseball and college football.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
My core competencies are people. I love working with people and learning about them.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm excited to see what sparks from your creative boost! (Fido was great, by the way, a very different coffee house experience as far as the food was concerned. You should give it a try next time you're in town.)

Another article with more on the way!

I had the privilege of writing an article for City Weekly on one of the Best Burgers in the area.

http://www.cityweekly.net/utah/article-472-18214-lucky-13-burgers.html

This same publication invited me to do some Holiday food writing for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have been spending a little time each day working on my dream.

Sincerely,

Jeff
