Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
From Dan's book 48 Days and his email letter. I want to stay up to date on new resources and be equipped to be best coach and presenter I can be.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
My husband and I founded and operate a nonprofit biblical counseling and teaching ministry called Lighthouse Ministries. We help people overcome the hurdles in their lives and become productive, satisfied individuals. I love helping people gain a new perspective and turn past pain and unpleasant circumstances into opportunities to grow and prosper.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I like learning new things and get bored with the same things. I like empowering others to reach their potential. I've written two Bible studies and am learning about the publishing world. I want to become a better writer and learn how to market my books.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Improving my writing skills. Love beauty and change of seasons. Taking time to take it in. Enjoy interior design and helping people with their homes. Beginning a home renovation soon!
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Vision, working with people to help them gain vision and hope. Teaching, writing. Facilitating small group discussion. In the past, recognizing a need and recruiting people to create a team to accomplish a goal. Leading and teaching Bible studies. Eye for quality and beauty. Problem solving.

“Yes, you’re in recovery,” a young woman said.

“What did they find?”

“They don’t tell us,” she said.

“Why am I shaking?” I asked.

“That’s a normal response to pain,” she said and injected a syringe into my IV.

You’ll find this to be a warm, encouraging and innovative group here. If you’re looking for additional ideas – just stick around. This group is full of great ideas and strategies to make them come to life.

And there are a whole lot of other coaches and counselors here. You'll find plenty of kindred spirits who share your heart's desire. In reading your goals I'm reminded that everything I'm doing today grew out of a Sunday School class. I thought I was just doing my part in "ministry" and yet my business just exploded out of that willingness to serve.
