Are You in the Right Place?

I just moved to Chattanooga TN a year ago, mainly due to some advice from my friend Dan Miller. It's not been easy. As a matter of fact, many aspects of it have been pretty hard because we had no family or support system where we moved. But still, it's worth it.I feel I have to ask, are you in the right place for your calling? This message was written by a team of geeks, nerds, gamers, and Dr. David Powers. What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Dr. David Powers is a Cultural Architect, combining the worlds of futurist, informationist, and counselor into one. He's a best-selling author in the areas of cognitive psychology, experimental education theory, and martial arts. He's a decorated veteran of the Marine Corps, Army, and a founding member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As a professional model and actor he has appeared in film, fashion shows, and even comic books. What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am wired for organization. God said in 1Corinthians 14:40, "Let all things be done decently and in order."

What Would You Do if Your Employer Closed Their Doors Forever?

A local Fujifilm plant in Dayton TN is shuttering its doors and shifting production to other plants. You can reference an article about it HERE. As I read the article I could see the writing on the wall regarding this event. I'm not talking about a sudden thing either. I'm talking about a decades long build up to this event.…

Who wants to be a Professional Speaker?

Posted on May 25, 2016 at 9:42am 0 Comments

First off, what is a professional speaker? A professional is defined at its most basic as someone who makes money from their 'thing'. If you want to make money as a speaker, then you want to be a professional speaker. It's that simple.

This includes...

Pastors

Motivational speakers

Corporate trainers

Comedians

...and even more

If you're in any of those positions and you want to learn more about becoming a professional, i.e. paid, speaker, you…

Hi Dr. Dave (as I've heard you called), please call me William. It's a pleasure to connect with you and I will also say I enjoyed your guest blog post last week on Dan's website. I used to be one to follow the rules, but have come to realize that making positive and dramatic shifts in one's life requires your methodology - ie: breaking many rules!

Good luck on the weight loss. My day J-O-B has created a sedentary environment where I have added 20-25 #'s in the last 2 years. Definitely want to break that habit as well as the bad habit of being an employee. ;)

Cheers!

William

I look forward to being part of this amazing group. Let me know if there are any ideas you would like feedback on.

I sat next to you at the Nov. seminar. I just joined this website and wondered what you have to say about it.I love the scripture you listed regarding all things done decently and in order. It hit home with me because I know all things are in perfect and devine order so I am still waiting. I am still searching for the work I love.
