Our 23-year-old son is a welder, currently living and working here in the Houston (TX) area. He would like to move out of Texas to experience a different state, change of scenery, etc. Nashville is on his short list of places he's interested in going.Any tips for an out-of-state job search? - How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- As a subscriber to Dan's 48Days newsletter, I received an announcement and invite when 48Days.net was first launched. I've been here ever since.
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- I am a freelance editor and also provide a broader range of self-publishing partnership services. In addition to my self-employment, I work part-time as the Project Coordinator for consultant Dan Blank of WeGrowMedia.
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- To build a business that will allow me to keep working and generating income as my husband and I move toward the retirement chapter of our lives -- but a business that will be flexible enough that we can have fun during this next chapter!
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- Write and publish a novel.
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I'm a planner, a thinker, an idea person and highly conceptual. I lead by example rather than delegate or lead from the front. I tend to be a quick learner and self-starter, and am a loyal team member. I have good administrative and organizational skills and am a good "people person" even though I'm more of an introvert than extrovert. I'm also a pretty decent cook.

Erin and I are incredibly excited about the release of Finding your Voice and our publishing arrangement with Sound Wisdom. We are scheduled to release on Nov 5.
