"Be the change you wish to see in the world" ~Ghandi

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about it from my father, Dan Miller! My hope for the net is that it broadens my community of movers and shakers--those that truly live out inspiration and motivation in their lives, and strive to make an impact in their lives--in every aspect. I'd also love to further develop discussions and comments on family and balancing that with career and personal purpose.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I'm an Independent Contractor for the best business ever...48 Days, LLC!
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
My goals are basically to just continue to grow and develop in the business and in my life...I've found a perfect niche for me with my work where I can make my own hours and contribute creatively...so now it's just about building and improving on what 48 Days is aiming to do!
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
3.5 children, cat, dog, white picket fence... Nope, I don't have a set number on kiddos, but I'm happily married (it'll be six years June 26, '10) and have two wonderful little girls--one is under a year and the other will be three in April. My dreams, again, are to grow as a family-to constantly develop my relationships with those closest to me, and to truly enjoy and cherish each moment we spend together. Another goal is to travel as a family--I want to show my kids the world instead of just reading about it in books! :-)
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
My core competencies are in communications, listening, working with and coaching/counseling others. I have a heart for serving and am truly passionate about giving back to others.

If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
Alright, this is not MY product at all and I make no kick-back, but since I've gotten so many compliments on my rockin' new profile picture, I have to promote the photographer: Camille Akers is AMAZING!! I'm in awe of her work; she makes everyone beautiful, and she is very creative and easy to work with! Visit her website at www.camilleakers.com and check out her gorgeous shots!

As for me, other than 48 Days, I am a relationships/life coach. My goal is to partner with families to foster the best environment possible for positive relationships between spouses and children. Whether your focus is on finding a new career or bettering your home life, I help you make healthy transitions while maintaining harmony at home. I get you excited about deepening a relationship-BEFORE you hit a crisis situation. You can read more about this here: http://ashleyarticles.blogspot.com/p/family-coaching-by-ashley.html

48 Days, Coaching, Seminars, Profiles, etc!

So basically I'm the resource for all of your 48 Days questions--come to me and I'm happy to help! My passion is helping peole--you see that in my title as "Customer Success Manager, Profiles Extraordinaire" when I respond to emails. I step it up a notch to help people facilitate 48 Days Seminars--I'll get you everything you need to make it a success.

And, as you can tell from my 212 Personal Website, I'm a personal coach as well! I'm definitely passionate about relationships, mainly family interaction! Obviously, though, working with 48 Days and 212 Connection, and being the product of my father, Dan Miller, career coaching often fits my description as well!

Please let me know how I can help you acheive the success you're aiming for...and if you're not sure where you're aiming yet, man, have I got the resources for you!

We're all Entrepreneurs...

I'm reading a book right now-- "Who's Got Your Back" by Keith Ferrazzi, and he states, "We're all entrepreneurs of our own ideas, whether we own our own companies or work for someone else. We're all leaders in our own lives--with or colleagues, with our employees, with our kids, and in our communities. Each on of us is a salesperson of ourselves and our opinions..."

It's such a crazy concept, but I hope there is a time in everyone's li… Continue

Do You Really Know What You're Doing?

I was driving today listening to NPR and heard an interesting piece on Fair Trade in Africa. Of course this piqued my interest as my brother lives in Rwanda and has founded one of the best platforms for social entrepreneurship I've seen. His company's mission statement is this:

KEZA is dedicated to developing sustainable fashion businesses from existing women's cooperatives in Africa. We will ensure sustainability, integrity, efficiency and qualitContinue

How do you define "The Good Life"?

A few weeks ago, I was asked for an interview. Wow--now why would someone want to interview me? Kendra Tilman, founder of http://www.goodlifediva.com/ has come to know me because of 48 Days, and she's read my blogs on the NET. She asked to interview me as a work-from-home mom...it was so much fun to do, and I was able to give great props to

Hello 48 Days Facilitators, I'm pumped to join this group! My good friend Justin Lukasavige told me about this group this morning. Even thought I've been around 48Days.Net for quite a while (I think I was the 4th person to join...seriously, the 4t…

Ashley...Any way a person can become a 48 days facilitator.......without attending the events in Tennessee?

Thank you for the speedy response Ashley. To clarify, I meant Certified Facilitator when referring to my colleague. I appreciate the email address, and I will definitely join the 48 Days Seminars group!

Thank you for the wealth of information you bring to this site.
There are some corporations going out of business in my area, and we would like to approach them about offering the 48 Days classes to their employees. My colleague has already been certified as a 48 Days Coach, and we were wondering if you could offer a few tips on how we should move forward in making our initial contact with these businesses. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for helping spread the word about the Keza fundraiser, Ashley. Also, I have a couple of grammer/literature teachers reviewing the book right now. You're name/biz is listed on the acknowledgement page with links to your site. While they are doing that, I'm composing a piano work as theme music for the book. Should be cool. I'm thinking about making it a treasure hunt to find the link to the MP3. Like making one of the periods in the middle of a chapter be a hyperlink. Any other ideas for making it fun and adventuresome? Pass it along. :)

As I travel on 48days.net I study as many profiles as I can handle and find all to be inspiring to move forward. I am no longer alone. Thanks for being an example, may all your goals COME to BE!
