Thanks, Ericka for the warm welcome. I looked at your page and found it very encouraging for a newbie like me. I will certainly be looking through the group to get the answers to my questions...my first one being, how to get started. Thanks, again for the encouragement and warm welcome.
Calling any Udemy Instructors interested in a review swap. I just released a new Budget Class on Udemy. This is a joint venture with one of my local students. I am in phase one of Marketing. It is called: Budget Coach: A Jail-Proof Guide to Money Management. We created 15 free coupons and we have 6 reviews so far. I would be willing to watch your course and write what I like about it. If you have any more coupons left, let me know.

Hello, all! This is my first group and I thought I'd join because I'm interested in teaching online. I've brought my enthusiasm and I'm ready learn all I can. At this point, I'm not sure what I would even teach, however, I see that online learning is a huge part of how knowledge is gained in society today. I've been homeschooling my 5 children for the past 13 years and our oldest graduated in June, 2016. In addition to homeschooling, I work at our library as an Outreach Associate. In this position I take storytime to family child care providers and child care centers. Instructing is what I love and what I do. I'm ready to explore and take it to the next level. I excited about being here! Thanks for having me!

That's great Spencer! Way to think of a win/win solution.
Just thought I'd share this with you. Last week I asked some friends to help me with a video course on how to make better video with your iphone. It turns out that I was able to help them by filming their own course on probiotic foods. It was an unexpected collaboration that will create two courses instead of one.

Hi Brandon,
This is a great question and discussion that we can all benefit from. Go ahead and create a new "Discussion" about this in the area above this comment wall. That way only the people interested can discuss this topic. This comment wall is more for a single thought. I have my own thoughts and recommendations to help you out, but will save it for the new discussion that you create. I'll give my thoughts on LearnDash and Ruzuku since I know the founders of each and have used many LMS systems. Sound good?
Comment by Christine Draper on January 3, 2016 at 1:24pm Yes I mean, when you add a quiz what question types are you allowed in the quiz. Some course creation software have limited question types (or even just multiple choice). The reason we went with LearnDash was predominately because they had the best range of question types that we could find.
Comment by Brandon Magras on January 3, 2016 at 1:10pm Hey Christine,
What do you mean by question types? I just signed up for the free Ruzuku trial. It's UI is very easy to pick-up on. I've spent 10 minutes in the software and have not come across a thing yet that is not very easy to learn to do. I don't know if they have what you would be looking for as far as quiz type features. They do have a "Health" feature that allows you to look at all your students taking your course and see follow their progress. I would give the trial a look. We are finding it is better that LearnDash in our opinion.
