Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?: His podcast was recommended by Dan and Vanessa Hayes on their Simple Life Together podcast.

I am looking for a community of people who get how hard it is to be an entrepreneur working alone.
Thank you for making this network available!

What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?: Self-employed for 5 years, mostly as a writer, editor and researcher. Generating about $25k per year and want to do much better by shifting away from hourly or by-the-word fees to more residual income streams.

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?: Lately I have been waking up excited about my work (which never happened before). I want to write online courses and a blog on the theme I call "A Life Beyond Fear." I also want to develop products like guided audios to help people learn how to calm their minds and respond more skillfully to the variety of stressful life situations that the modern world brings.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?: My husband and I are currently downsizing our possessions so that we can move from our 1,600-square-foot home to a much smaller, simpler life. We plan to buy land and begin building a house of about 400 square feet here in Portland within the next 12 months. Besides being freed from the need to clean, maintain, and pay for a larger home, we want to make a smaller impact on the earth and devote our time to things that are important to us, like outdoor activities, volunteering, travel, and just being together while we are still healthy and active.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?: I have overcome a severe anxiety disorder that struck me suddenly 7 years ago. I have so many tools and strategies that I've found over a 3-year period of struggling with this disorder, and I have a very strong desire to share what I have learned--and continue to learn--with people who need this information. There is so much fear in the world; in fact, I believe it's a major driver of people's unhappiness. I have strong research, writing, and speaking skills, and a strong sense of compassion for people who are suffering, especially those who suffer from anxiety or any other kind of fear.

If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:: I will be launching my first product, an online course called "A Life Beyond Fear: Releasing the Grip of Anxiety" on udemy.com. Soon after that, I will launch my websites, alifebeyondfear.com and drbonnielynch.com, where I will blog about how people can begin to get the upper hand on all the things they're afraid of. The blog will cover topics like anxiety and panic, fear of making change, fear of technology, and even fear of germs! The tone will be upbeat and humorous, but there'll be lots of solid information that readers can use to improve their lives.
