In a recent podcast my friend Dan Miller talked about retirement and what that means for most people.
I wanted to sum up a few points that are very applicable to my coaching clients, but the link is below if you like to listen to the entire thing.

Welcome to my series on Life After the Uniform. The goal of this series is to provide options and ideas as the main impetus of my coaching practice is helping men and women in high stress/high risk jobs find fulfilling second careers.
I've worked some with a human trafficking group called The Exodus Road, but nothing like this. I saw this this news pop up recently about their efforts to engage military veterans in combating sex trafficking. I…

My good friend Kent Julian has a business that revolves around living life forward. As a matter of fact, it's called Live It Forward. In case you're not familiar with the concept, he expresses it as "empowering you to move from dream to do". I've known him for a number of years, and he not only teaches others to do it but lives it in his own life.
Well, guess what? This year will be the inaugural launch of his new Live…

I'm sure by now most of you have heard of the monstrous computer FUBAR that Delta Airlines faced this week. If you were trying to fly Delta and you're reading this, I'm very sorry. I've slept in airports on several occasions, and it is not fun.

Who wouldn't want to be a friend with a man who has a cool beard and has his personal berserker mode!
Look forward to being in the SIF Group with you.

Hi Dr. Dave (as I've heard you called), please call me William. It's a pleasure to connect with you and I will also say I enjoyed your guest blog post last week on Dan's website. I used to be one to follow the rules, but have come to realize that making positive and dramatic shifts in one's life requires your methodology - ie: breaking many rules!
Good luck on the weight loss. My day J-O-B has created a sedentary environment where I have added 20-25 #'s in the last 2 years. Definitely want to break that habit as well as the bad habit of being an employee. ;)
Cheers!
William
Aren't we both so lucky. Life is always exciting.
I love the imagery you used to describe yourself ... a human puzzle master.
I look forward to being part of this amazing group. Let me know if there are any ideas you would like feedback on.
