My idea would be view the bulletin board like a Pinterest or Instagram and post motivational sayings and/or questions that build your brand. I use Instagram for this a lot."

- How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- I heard about it from a friend. I am hoping to learn how to become a professional public speaker/motivational trainer. As a teacher/college professor for 20+ years, I have a lot of speaking experience, but I am ready to transition to something more meaningful than showing students how to solve quadratic equations! :-)
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- I am a college math instructor at a state university.
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- I love helping people to develop professionally. I love teaching and want to help people to reach their fullest potential.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- I used to weigh more than 360 pounds...I am currently at 290, halfway to my goal of 220. In a society threatened by the epidemic of obesity, I want to motivate people to make practical, incremental lifestyle changes that will improve their health and add years to their lives. I'm just a regular guy, and I want to show others that, if I can change my life, ANYONE can!!!
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I have strong relational skills. I connect easily with people, and often find myself providing advice/counseling to my students, other faculty, and administrators. I am an excellent teacher, having won several campus-wide teaching awards-definitely an accomplishment for a math teacher. :-)
I have entertained the idea of being a stand-up comedian. I love to make people laugh, and I enjoy sharing the humor of my life with my wife Kate and our 8 kids. I like to tell people that we are the "Jon and Kate-plus 8" who are still happily married! Yes, my wife is named Kate, and YES, we DO have 8 kids!!!
