- How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- My friend, BFF and coworker. We are always dreaming of a job we love. Her hubby ran across the book and she told me about it. It took us a few months to get to day 5 and, honestly, we haven't finished together (due to her A.D.D.) but I have read through it. Not gotta get it into action. So pumped up about Kent Julian's mastermind program and glad I was able to attend his boot camp. Excited about attending some of Dan Miller's workshops next!
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- Working full time for a great company but want to start my own business speaking, writing and helping others!
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- To help others realize what their strengths/skills are and how they can use them to help others and to find their passion in life. I want to continue to write articles, books and workbooks/facilitate self-help classes and coach others.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- I want to retire in three years, get married to the wonderful guy I am dating, buy a new home and work from home. My children will all be on their own (I hope). So I want to begin a new life where I can focus on helping others. I need to begin planning now.
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- God has blessed me with seeing peoples needs and helping them find resources to help them. I feel that I am motivating to others. I see their needs sometimes before they do. I want people to feel good about themselves and they have many opportunities in life to become who they want (who God wants them) to be.

Being Committed

We need to stop and think about our commitments. There are some who are committed to their jobs. There are others who are committed to their families. Even others who are committed to themselves. Being committed can be good or bad depending on the commitment and the situation; however, if we are not committed to God, then all we do is not for Him.
There are things we can do in our jobs that if we changed our commitment to God when we do them, we will be better employees and coworkers.…

As children, our parents required us to answer them when they spoke to us. We couldn’t just nod our heads in agreement or say “yeah” because that was showing disrespect. Our replies were to be courteous and polite to them as well as others. If we didn’t reply politely, we were sure to be reprimanded.

There are times when we have to have surgery and we really don’t want to feel the pain. We want to be numb. We want to feel as little discomfort as possible. So we are given heavy medications to either put us asleep or make us numb to the pain. We have to be careful about wanting to be numb all through life and avoiding pain. When we try to avoid pain and discomfort in life we are going to discover that we aren’t really doing anything at all. We are simply taking up space.
