Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Dave Ramsey's radio station.

I hope to learn, teach, and explore different ideas to help expand my business.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I currently work at the local community blood center as a Microbiology Record Review Specialist.

Recently, I started my own business as an LLC. I am selling self-defense products, running self-defense seminars, and hoping to start a self-defense coaching in that business.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
My dream is to eventually quit my job as a Microbiologist and start working on what I feel God created me for. I want to enrich families' lives using martial arts and life coaching as a medium.

My goals are:
1. Establish myself as an authority expert by creating a blog and running an online self-defense product store.
2. Create a curriculum that adds finincial, marriage enrichment, and personal development as part of personal security - missing elements that are essential to self-defense.
3. Become a speaker and advisor in the areas of self-defense.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I am persuing a degree in Entreprenurial Studies through DeVry University.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I feel that I am wired to teach. I believe that God has given me the ability to understand a subject and portray the material to an audience, especially in the areas of self defense and common life subjects such as dating. I feel called to help people understand what needs to be done in order to have real security for themeselves and family.

Self-Defense Coaching

When we think about Self-Defense, we usually think about martial arts.  We think about pepper sprays, stun guns, or even using any ordinary object as a weapon, but forget that a major factor in self defense is how we present ourselves to the public.  This is where self-defense coaching comes in - not only will I teach you the physical elements of protecting yourself, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual elements to walk as a modern day warrior.

"Push Pass Perceived Limits" - Wim Hof quote, Guinness World Record of 18 events

Posted on April 26, 2012 at 9:09pm 0 Comments

Are the limits we place on ourselves our actual limit?  Or is it something we place on ourselves to hold us back from what we are truly capable?

Look at the mirror.  You are what stands between what you are now and your potential. Not the economy.  Not the president.  You can reach goals with the gifts, talents, and personality you already have when you push pass your perceived limits.

In the first week of police academy I was challenged to do a simple task.  To run... without…

The "Dreaded Mondays" Have Dissappeared!

It's Saturday and I'm smiling!

It's Saturday and I'm working on police academy homework and I'm smiling...and looking forward to Monday.

Why?

Because, I'm learning about the job I can't wait to do.  For the past 4 years, I have been working in a great medical career field as a Microbiologist, but I didn't have the passion for it.  My favorite saying, "I don't get giddy over a tube of E. coli!"  However, I do get excited about this new venture of becoming a police…

The Headaches Are Gone!

This past week has been wonderful!  It's been almost 4 days since I retired as a "Microbiology Record Review Specialist" and moving onto a new career as a police officer.  I'm excited about this new venture and excited that I'm moving into a career that fits my lifestyle.  I have been in the medical lab career field for almost 9 years already and was in a position that can move me into higher management.  But, I decided to change because of the book "48 Days to the Work you Love," Attending…

The Coach gets to be Coached!

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 4:00pm 0 Comments

Sometimes, the best help comes from our clients.

I have two clients: a budding entrepreneur and an amazing musician. They were both wanting more from life and I provided my coaching services to them.  The entrepreneur is now finding ways to get more income from his gaming group, and the musician now has a concrete plan in order to attack his career.  They both have a realistic, but challenging plan to double their income next year.

In the meantime, I have been struggling on my…
