Catherine, I am responding to your question about someone to set up a site for you. One option of course is to DIY. I personally don't like this option because of the learning curve and time it would take. However, if you are techy and want to give it a try go for it.
The other option is to hire someone to do it for you. This is what I have done and the important part here is that you find someone that takes the time to understand what you are about (the mission and message of your business), someone you can work with and someone you can afford. To find all of these in one person sometimes feels like a tall order. I know... I've been through a lot of web designers.
Either way, I would first check out the wordpress group on 48days and ask about someone putting up a site for you. Get some estimates on the cost and time frame as well as how they would go about working with you.
Comment by Kathy on September 5, 2016 at 10:07pm Catherine, I totally agree with Jen. The Wordpress group will not only have advice but also there are several talented people there that can certainly help you get started. BTW, welcome! Looking forward to learning more about your business as you get started.

Catherine, this would be a great discussion to post in the Wordpress site as I am assuming they will have some great advice for you. You can find the group HERE. Best wishes!!
I need help. I have purchased a domain name through Blue Host, and have chosen to use WordPress. Other than that, I haven't clue number one what to do with it, and honestly I don't have the time to figure it out. I was looking at a service that will "do it all" for me, but it looks a little pricey. What can I expect from such a service, and is it worth shopping around? I'm not sure I have time for that either! Is this the right place to post this question?
Hi everyone! Lynne, thanks for the welcome and I'm looking forward to learning from all of you!
