How many times in life do we get frustrated when we are learning new things? We want to make changes in our career or personal lives, but we think, "Ah, the effort seems too much."
What can we do when we feel like the effort is too overwhelming, yet we want to try something new?
Whenever we get frustrated from learning new things, I encourage you to keep three things in mind:
1. Keep in mind that anything worth doing in life takes effort. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
2. Travel the journey with others by finding someone such as coach, trainer, mentor, etc. who is doing what you want to do and learn from them.
3. Remember anyone who is great at something today was most likely crappy at it starting out. So give yourself a break and know that we all start from square one.
Any journey worth doing, takes effort. ~ Jen McDonough
What efforts are you willing to make to travel the journey to the life you want to live?

Thanks Jen. Great insights. I am reminded of the Gary Larson cartoon of a dog on a unicycle on a high wire holding an umbrella etc. The caption was, I believe, "Rusty, knew he was an old dog and this was a new trick."
This always comes to mind when I am doing something new. The good thing was that Rusty was doing it!

Thanks Ann and Myhriah!!!!
Comment by Myhriah Young on January 28, 2015 at 11:51pm I think the same thing, thank you. Now if I could just remember that, while I'm in the midst of trying to figure out what I'm doing. Thanks for the encouragement!!
