The recent story on NBA player Antoine Walker losing $110 million is a perfect example. We think how on earth could he possibly do this? I know our family would have this several years ago as we just knew would not be "that" type of person to blow such a pot of gold away. In fact, we had plans for how we would SPEND our money if a windfall would ever come our way (notice the emphasis on SPEND with NO mention of SAVINGS). Yep, if only that would happen we dreamed.

If I were to tell you that to truly move forward in your life, all you had to do was move the ugly parked car in front of you, would you move it?
Most would say Duh! Of Course! How silly! But most of us do not move, no matter what. We don’t see that dirty car in our path that keeps us stuck in the mud of life.

During tough times, our excuses will come easier. Think about it. The common cold suddenly becomes a major deal when our kids go back to school after not having their homework from the night before complete. That old knee injury seems to act up more on the days that you don't feel like going out running. Facebook suddenly becomes a top priority over that report you were struggling with.…

You see, Scott believes that the only way to be successful at anything you do, is to fail a few times…

One of the ways we use to avoid our problems was to stay busy. When our finances fell apart, our family was booked back to back every night of every week of endless activities. It was almost as if we were escaping our realities if we just crammed one more thing on top of our already busy schedule.
Being "busy" leads to scarcity in our resources - living intentional leads to…
