How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about Dan from Dave Ramsey. I really like the support and friends who are there to help you at any given moment. And they are really supportive!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am working, single mom and with a book I just put on Lulu.com, a print on demand site. I am 50, at the half-time of my life and ready to bust out and be of service as an artist.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I have always loved photography, but always felt held back. Nothing seemed to fit - I don't like doing portraits or advertisement or fashion. But I feel like Susan Boyle, ready to sing, well for me ready to work with photography. I love photo restoration, fiddling with saturation. I am going to start an online (and in Asheville) a photo restoration business - that will give me flex hours with my kid. And as I learn more about the digital world, niche myself like Ronald Baldwin did to create my own unique view of food and maybe flowers.

My Latest Book! "An Army Dad's Guide to Peace and Happiness" available on Lulu.com as an actual book you can hold in your hand and an ebook. My dad was an Army Dad, a mess hall sergeant. You know, the kind who gets you up at 5:30 am to pull KP. But my dad gave us a life that surpasses an ordinary life. He taught us how to keep going when big obstacles stand in your way. He taught us how to have a happy day almost each and every day. He taught us how to feel joy and to smile in the midst of sorrow. He was a perfect example of how to face the most devastating circumstances including a loss of his health at 40, the loss of a leg and to wake up singing. He taught us how to live a life that is truly purposeful no matter where we are or what our circumstances are. This is a little book with a big mission – it’s a book that shows us how to live a life beyond measure, a life any ordinary person can live right here and right now. It’s a book in which you’ll learn to live your best life right where you are – whether you have no money or you’re in pain. My dad, injured on duty during maneuvers, used to crawl to bed when it was too painful to walk – with a smile on his face. You’ll learn how true happiness is gained through a well lived life and how to always be happy no matter what your circumstance. You’ll learn how to feel true compassion for others and to never feel the need to talk about other people. You’ll learn how to live your life as a beautiful hymn of love. And true joy. You’ll learn how to have the heart of a soldier, ready to stand up for what you believe and ready to serve. That’s how my dad lived his life. And that’s the easy part. This little guide will then show you how to take your soldier’s heart – how to combine that self-discipline and perseverance with a servant’s mission to love all others, to serve out of joy and how to let your light shine whether you are injured, depressed or filled with sadness. It will show you how to soar through each day and experience the heights of joy whether you are taking out the trash or taking a cruise. (I really believe our heroes should be our parents. I think they teach us more than we often realize until we take care of them or until they are gone.) This guide will show you how to live in peace and happiness each and every day.

What Veterans Have Taught Me

Posted on May 25, 2009 at 9:46am 3 Comments

It's Memorial Day and I woke up today thinking about what I have learned from Veterans. My father was in a Veterans Nursing Home for about 3 years - probably one of the best nursing homes I've ever seen. They gave my dad great care, but the best thing about the VA hospital is what I learned from the Veterans, many of whom have passed away.

From Mr. Young - He was a famous fly fisherman but I never knew it until after he died. He was modest. In his 80s, he mostly ate cake the last… Continue

Hey Billie

Sounds great. I would definitely like to discuss starting an online women's mastermind group with you.

Google Hangout? Skype?

Does Skype allow you to have multiple people?

Hey, what a great idea on your blog as far as listing a link with a note that your art is available for cards and tiles.

Hi Billie!

I saw your question on the Mastermind group about a local group. I don't live in your area, but I am a part of an online Mastermind group that meets on Monday 9PM EST weekly. Would you be interested?

We would love to have you join us! I really like your website idea. I'm sure I'll be using your info in a couple year ;)

Here is our agenda from last week Mastermind%206-23-13.pdf

Hi Billie! It was great to meet you and your daughter. I was telling someone about her today - how poised and eloquent she was during our introductions to the group, and how she has a goal to be a world-class dancer. And I showed your beautiful photo cards to me husband, who is painting flowers and water droplets as we speak. I look forward to staying in touch with you!

Billie, Let's set up a time to talk to see if we are a good match. A little about me, I began a full time career coaching business six motnhs ago. I'm not used to being home and I get side tracked. I'm looking for a group to help me stay on task and keep me in the learning & growing mode for my business. I like the idea of Skype or some other platform to hold the meetings.

It's funny how you said you are ready to sing...Ansel Adams was a great concert pianist besides his amazing photography. His biography is very interesting, if you haven't read it, try to sometime. Where can we see some of your photography?

Hi Billie -- Thank you for joining us in the authentic life. There are some some discussions going on in here. You are welcome to jump right in and participate, or start a discussion of your own.

The next issue of our newsletter will be out in a few days. 4 Points Coaching is a bi-monthly, may we start sending it your way?

If you are on Facebook, I hope you take a peek at Project 365. The book project has been picking up tremendous speed and will be released in November, 2010.

All the best.
