Comment by Marcy Travis on Sunday Ann, I'm glad to hear your son made the wise choice to move toward a better job... perforated ulcer at age 24 is frightening. Finding the right job and work environment seems to be somewhat of a life journey. He's found something better now, and can collect the information about what he enjoys in his new environment. These things learned about ourselves over time give us helpful information when we are moving toward that "perfect" fit. I hope he continues to explore and stretch his imagination toward his heart dreams.
Thanks for reading and commenting, friend!
Comment by Ann Musico on Sunday This is a great post and a very important aspect of a fulfilling and healthy life. I saw the damage done when my oldest son was feeling very dissatisfied in his previous position. As much as he like the people and parts of the job, the inability to actually follow through on what he was being asked to do was very frustrating and I, as his mom, could see it changing his personality and it really concerned me. It's amazing the difference a change can make for the better. Because the stress of that previous position lead to a perforated ulcer at age 24 - he is more aware than most how work can impact health. I'm grateful he made a change and although it isn't perfect it was definitely the right time to make that change.
