How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I learned of 48days.net through being on the 48days.com emailing list.what i hope to get out of being a part of this is the encouragement to move forward with my dreams and network with those who are already doing what I long to do.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I'm an employee in a doctors office. It's tolerable and it pays the bills. But it is something I can't see myself doing any longer than necessary.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
I have had a life long passion for horses, especially the thoroughbred racehorse. i spent many years in that industry. I love photographing these incredible animals and also drawing them and ideally would like to make my living doing either or both!
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have alot of debt so one of those goals would be to get out of debt. It is hindering me from doing much of anything. again, as above, I'd like to use my artistic talent, but I don't know where it fits into Gods plan.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm basically an introvert,I like solitude, though I've found that I do enjoy helping and encouraging people. Having said that, I love and find the most joy in doing something creative, particularly if it has something to do with the horse.

Good Morning!

After reading your comments on debt, I thought my website might be of use.

You are the very type of person this site has been created to help.

Let me know how I may help you learn, earn, and serve,

David

really? Are you still working with that coach? what do you mean you havent gotten the budgeting thing down 110%? Ive gotten myself out of a lot of debt and put myself through nursing school without borrowing much at all. I saw your comment and wondered if you had gotten any advice. Any ideas or questions you'd like to bounce off of me I'll do my best to give you some advice, help, or direction. I want to start a financial coaching business within the next 6 months but for now I just try and help out whoever needs some help for fun. Ive been in debt before and I know how hard it is. It took me about 8 months of sheer hard work and sacrifice to get out of it but it feels great when you get there. I would love to help you anyway I can. Im not a pro at it but Ive been there. What things have you tried in order to generate additional income?

Hi Jane. I read the comment you left in April on the blog "I Need Some Work Done" about finances. Did you get the help you were looking for?

Thanks so much I appreciate your comments.
Remember that art is subjective and some like it and others don't. It has nothing to do with you as a person rather individuals tastes. So paint because you love it and be at peace with your work.

Hi Jane;
I read your comment to Deby Dearman. I can completely identify the confusion of what exactly do we want to do. I read an article some time ago that has made a lot of difference in this exact same problem in my life. I cannot find it, but I remember some of the main points. First is to WRITE a description of your ideal day. When would you get up, what would you do, etc. Describe in detail the complete ideal day; which is to say, this is what you would wish most of your days to be.
Second is to WRITE goals and ambitions.
I believe in my life a lack of clarification kept me confused. I am discovering that for me, clarification must be in detail. This helps me to focus, which then enable me to take some action in a specific direction.
This is sort of general, and it probably is not something new to you. I hope this helps some. I am just entering this journey; about 3/4 weeks ago actually, and already since I have a specific direction, some things are stirring.
God Bless; I also KNOW that the talent that our Lord gave us is not for hiding under a basket. How can I help?

Jane, try to go back to what's brought you the most pleasure in your life.
What did you do when you were younger that you enjoyed? Usually the memories are a clue to what your best, most natural gift is . . . or ask yourself when were you the happiest? What were you doing then? No rocket science but just little questions that get you thinking and hopefully pinpointing an area that brings you joy. Hope this helps:-)

Hi there! Somehow I missed your post from a month or so ago about Photo Laureates . . . but I think it's all a big online rip off. Would love to hear from any else who's been duped. I never ordered anything so they didn't get any $$ but I did spend time on their site. Arrrrrrgh!
How are you doing with your artistic pursuits this year? Any goals set yet?
I'd love to hear from you.

Dear Jane,
Thanks for the encouragement. I see where on two of the same groups. I'm sure we'll be able to share a lot together. I received a photography book for Christmas with assignments and online professional critiques, while I'm excited about. I need the feedback to help me with confidence. Family evaluations tend to be a bit suspect. Wish me luck!
