Looking for a web developer

HELP!!!!

Hey everyone! I'm in need of a good web developer. I've got some ideas I would like to move forward with as far as monetizing my growing platform, but I find myself spending way too much time trying to figure out the web development piece. I know there are people who LOVE doing this and could do it in a fraction of the time I'm spending on it. If you're out there...let me hear from you! Thanks!

I'd love to take a look at your project. I have helped several people build their platforms and grow them.

I think you have a good start here with http://jonsanders.org/ but you are correct, it would be very beneficial for you to grow this platform and make it more inviting and have easier calls to action.

You can definitely impact change and have a greater harvest by planting seeds everywhere you go. A site like yours would definitely allow you to spread the information farther than your voice alone.

Hey Jon,

I looked at your site that Allan linked. I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you need a designer, too.

Web Developer - Someone skilled in code, databases, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, browser testing, caching, and more.

Web Designer - Someone skilled in information architecture, information hierarchy, page layout, color palettes, user experience, graphics, aesthetics, etc.

If you don't have the experience, it can be difficult to judge the quality of anyone claiming to be one of the above. Often, there are web developers claiming to be designers and aren't very good at it.

"Growing [a] platform" is rarely something that a web developer can help you with. This is usually the work of a web designer.

Hi John,

Over the years I've built over 100 custom web sites. Unless you are a very high profile web site, I actually don't recommend it anymore. I would focus more on your message, building content, and building your platform. Since you built your website on wordpress, you can swap out themes relatively easily. I would check on Themeforest or Elegant Themes for a responsive theme and for $60-100 you have a new site (you will probably need a little configuration work too). There are some technical issues in how you have WP configured that need some tweaking and you really need a call to action on your front page.
