HARO - Good source for helping to get message out

Hi Gang,

Thought I would post this for those looking to share a message and/or info with people using the media.

I have had some great luck through HARO (Help A Reporter Out) for getting our message to encourage people to eliminate debt. I signed up to receive their free inquiry list from reporters looking for people to comment on all kinds of subjects. Email inquires come out 1-3 times a day during the week. They are pretty easy to sort through and easy to reply to if you see a topic you want to respond to.

Some of the success we have had recently included:

• Last week I was interviewed by Parent Magazine for their June issue.
• Within the last month, we had a German film crew come film with our family for 3 days for a recent documentary that aired on Germany's largest public broadcasting station.
• Our story was featured in Craig Guillot's new book, Stuff About Money that just came out this month.

Just thought I would share for those interested.

Anyone have luck with using HARO or have any advice on using other media type resources similar to HARO?
