One year ago yesterday marked the last day at my job. I was quitting for the adventure of starting my own business. I had a dream and a plan, now I just had to do it!
As Claudia and I look back over this past year, it’s amazing to see all that has taken place and the opportunities we’ve been blessed with!

Traveled to NYC to meet author, Chris Guillebeau

Traveled to NYC (again) to meet my friends Justin and Andy

Stayed over with new friends Steve and Jody Berkey whom we met on Facebook

Celebrated the first birthday of our son

Went to the Outer Banks with family in September and met up with our friends, Chris and Karen Peek, on the way.

Teamed up with some awesome folks who helped raise nearly $2000 towards saving two children from sex slavery with The Exodus Road

Rode in a buggy for the first time

Grew our business to replace and surpass my former income in 8 months – Woot!

Found creative ways to supplement our income during the lean months

Decluttered and simplified by selling things like this on Craigslist

Published blog posts for 365 days straight

Between the both of us, read 45 books and listened to over 400 podcasts

Met up with friends from around the country for a mastermind retreat

Created Goal Setting Guide for Couples (coming very soon!)

Hosted two projects, the Focus Challenge and Productivity Experiment, and had fun with a group of about 40 movers and shakers working towards goals
Did the first rise365 interview with a family doing incredible things
We had a lot of fun as we worked towards the goals we put in place at the beginning of 2012.
We look forward to 2013 with anticipation knowing great things will continue to take place, as we press forward!
Question: What did 2012 look like for you? What are some things you’re going to do in 2013?

Books and podcasts have been most impactful in learning, growing, and changing for us.
Claudia and I love being part of this community here and having had the opportunity to meet a few of the members I mentioned in the post.
