We Stand Proud in Equality and Unity

I am touched today as the US practices tradition inaugurating a President.   It's an inspiring day and one in which many have been able to put aside their differences.

Grateful and proud, I look to the same sky.  May we spend the gift of each and every day we have with our eyes and our hearts wide open.  We will prosper in a future of love and equality.  Deep is my love of this country and the brothers and sisters who share it with me.  The day carries hope that we may unite and serve for the greater good.

As we welcome a new term and honor the memory of a great man who gave his life standing tall and strong to make us a better people . . . I am proud to be an American with privileges afforded to me by the sacrifices of so many.
