Waiting for Oliver

Our first grandson is on the way...slowly. He gets that from his mom and dad! We have been at the hospital since yesterday afternoon thinking all along that Oliver would be born any moment. It should be soon, but Oliver gets to make that decision.

We spend a lot of time waiting for significant things to happen. I'm sure I've wasted lots of time in life's waiting room. The waiting room is fine when a baby is on the way. But, it's not place to spend our lives. As I've waited for Oliver, I've been reminded of the extreme amount of time we spend going nowhere. I've decided that waiting isn't my gift. I hope it is not yours, as well.
