It really is amazing that when you set your goals, it gives a blueprint to the subconscious to make it happen.
One of my goals for 2013 was to write a Food Column weekly for a local newspaper, The Salt Lake City Weekly. Two months ago I was briefly introduced online with the Editor. Many e-mails later, things were hitting a wall.
Finally I opened up "48 Days to the work you love" and started the process. I printed off a nice introduction letter and went to the UPS Store. It cost me over $8.00 to mail one page just two miles. It worked.
Within two days I had received an e-mail from him. A few e-mails later and we are having lunch tomorrow to discuss ideas for the Column.
I have a few pitches ready.

Comment by Peter A Ferguson on March 14, 2013 at 5:57am Fantastic news, but I have to say I am not surprised. Your writing and style are just what Utah newspapers and news television needs. Around for lunch Friday or next week?

Thank you, The meeting went pretty well. The Editor asked me to review some previous dining posts and then stopped himself. He said "but I caution you in reading other food columns in our publication. We want your style to come out and show us what we are missing on the food scene."
I am so excited and have a couple of pitches ready to go!
