Back in October of 2011, I started reading this book called 48 days to the Job You Love, thinking this would be a simple process. You know, read the book, take out some of the ideas that make sense, try them, get a new job and life goes on. WRONG!!!
I learned about this whole passion concept. Passion – isn’t that what I am supposed to have for my wife? I’m supposed to have passion for what I do? Hmmm – I have to think about this a bit.
So I figure what do I have to lose? Let me look into this a bit more. If I am going to make a change in my job, that will cause my life to change, and I was already even considering moving for a new job (ask my wife – that is a big step for me) so if I am going to make a change let’s do it right!
So I contacted a life coach to help me figure all this out. Joel has all the million dollar questions that I would love the answers to. Of course he wants me to come up with all the answers (oh, great). So I have been doing this now for several weeks, and I have to tell you I have learned a lot about myself. Overall I am enjoying this process. But then he sprung another million dollar question on me tonight: “How will you have to change to accomplish these goals?” YIKES! I have to change?!?! I guess it makes perfect sense – I once heard someone say about business, “If you want your business to grow tomorrow, you can’t keep running your business the same way as you did yesterday.” To me that makes perfect sense, I can’t expect my life to change, if I keep living life just like I used to. So the bottom line is: I have to make some changes…pray for me folks; I’m going to need it!

What a real, honest, and awesome post! Prayers said that you will get way out of your comfort zone to reach what once was thought to be impossible.
This change stuff is so much easier with 20:20 vision isn't it? Loved this post and know you have many of us in the boat with you.
Best of luck in your endeavors!
