5 years and I am finally doing it!!!

5 years ago this spring I started reading Dan's Books, 'No More Monday's" and "48 days", which then led me to his podcasts, blog posts and his son's, Kevin Miller, community 212 connection, now www.freeagentacademy.net (FAA) -- I have been a member of Kevin's community ever since.

In that time the Lord has been working on me, pruning old corporate behavior and mindset to prepare me for why He really made me.  I did not even know why until last spring when my 1st child, Sophia was born.  At that moment, after a 5 hour drug free birth, I knew I was meant to be a doula.  (a woman who assists and serves women during labor and birth)

However, just as Dan recommends, I knew I needed to be more than 'just a doula'.  Jonathan Pool from FAA said, "Wendy, you get bored quickly.  You need this to be deeper. .  .something you can build on" -- so, after finishing his IDEA course. . . I knew I was the "Natural Birth Evangelist"  (www.naturalbirthevangelist.com). . . however, now I am developing deeper than just a doula. .  I know I am called to:

Educate, Encourage and Empower women during pregnancy, birth and motherhood. 

How am I going to do this?? I am developing a membership community: Empowered Mothers. (www.empoweredmothers.net) There will will be forums, groups, podcasts and live calls for members to help support them during pregnancy, birth and motherhood.  Some of the podcasts will be with 48 days favorites: Deb Ingino, Joel Boggess, Jennifer Pool, Kevin Miller, and more. . .  Interested in knowing more?? shoot me an email wendy@naturalbirthevangelist.com (my website when it is finished will have a 'sign-up' here button. . but is currently under development)

I am so excited about this journey -- and had I not met Dan Miller and his son Kevin. . . I would not be where I am today -- I am grateful they are fulfilling their calling so I could fulfill mine!
