Your present circumstances don't determine where you can do; they merely determine where you start. ~ Nido Qubein
Is it possible to change your personal finance situation around in just 5 minutes a day? Yes, I really do believe that 300 seconds a day will change your financial situation if you take the right actions.
To have the largest impact on your personal finances, it takes intentional action to plan, track, and use a plan each and every day.
In my newest book, 5 Minutes a Day to Living Beyond Rich, I lay out the simple and easy steps to putting together and using your first financial plan/budget. While this book is probably a bore for those that like to make finances incredibly complicated, the simple and easy steps I lay out can be life changing to most anyone who follows (click HERE for a Amazon link to the book).
In meeting with folks today, they think it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to take charge of their finances. I say hogwash to that. If my family can get on a budget, so can YOURS. Seriously, this is a from a person who didn't check their bank account more than once a year. Now after paying off over $150,000 worth of debt and paying CASH for over $30,000 worth of medical related expenses in 3 years, I see the value of spending those 300 seconds a day on our how we want to intentionally use our money.
My simple and easy to understand book is exactly the plan we followed when we first started and the one that we still follow today.
My challenge for those that are struggling like my family once was is to try a budget for 90 days (click HERE for a free budget template or check out our resource page by clicking HERE for some great financial resources). You got nothing to lose for trying...why not let today be your starting line to living beyond rich.
Question: What is the best advice you have for those starting out on a financial plan/budget?
Live Beyond Rich,
Jen McDonough

Ann, GREAT advice - just DO IT!!!! I agree, the first step is the hardest. Health and finances are so closely related on how we can improve on both.
