"The comfort zone takes our greatest aspirations and turns them into excuses for not bothering to aspire".
True but sad! Every day is an opportunity to “be” to “become” yet, our allowing ourselves to get stuck in a comfort zone diminishes all possibilities of greatness only to leave us with excuses.
People who live their lives in comfort zones usually are great complainers of life…
"Life is known only by those who have found a way to be comfortable with change and the unknown. Given the nature of life, there may be no security, but only adventure."
- Rachel Naomi Remen
Learning to be comfortable in the uncomfortable - what a wonderful concept, I love that! The sad thing is not many people ever get there. Comfort is high on many people’s priority list and as…Continue
"The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention." - Source Unknown
So true! How often do we hear of people saying things like I meant to do that, or call that person, or I was getting around to dropping by? Sometimes these are conversations when a tragedy occurs and people have regrets of not acting on what they intended to do. There was a great movie a long time ago about paying it forward and in it people…Continue
“Clowns wear a face that's painted intentionally on them so they appear to be happy or sad. What kind of mask are you wearing today?"

“It is not good enough for things to be planned -- they still have to be done; for the intention to become a reality, energy has to be launched into operation.”
-Pir Vilayat Khan
So many good intentions are dashed on the wayside when failed to be acted on. Intentions like wishes are useless unless someone does something about it. A car has no function if it is parked in a garage but once it gets started the…Continue

Nearly every week I try to ask a question for you to take a second to respond to. Some may be more thought provoking, some not so much. There is no right or wrong answer...only your answer. I hope you will take a moment to respond.
This week's question is What was your OH MY GOD Moment? OH MY GOD!

"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans."
- Peter Drucker
We live in a world of people who fear commitment. They are always making promises but when push comes to shove they make excuses. Commitment is never an easy thing to do but once it is done the rewards are amazing. Only as commitments are made is change inevitable. Commitments are what separate the dreamers from the…

"You need to make a commitment, and once you make it, then life will give you some answers."
- Les Brown
I love this quote because often in life we want to see the outcome or at least the steps necessary before we make a commitment. Sometimes in life this is not always possible. Sometimes we just need to make the commitment and believe that the steps will become visible. I always think about the scene in Indiana…
Every week I will pose a question for you to take a SECOND and think about and give your thoughts. Sometimes questions will be profound, sometimes simple, but meant to provocatively get you thinking and sharing. Take a few seconds and if you don't want to respond to the question on the blog, feel free to email me your response at…Continue

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was…Continue

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family."
- Anthony Brandt
At the beginning of our life and at our final resting place, it is family that will be there. Friends come and go, careers, possessions, ambitions and anything else that we deem important in our lives have their season, but it is family that remains our constant.
Happy is the person that…Continue

"Family is the most important thing in the world."
- Princess of Wales Diana
I agree with this statement but I have often witnessed the very opposite. Somehow just because it is the most important thing many people fail to honor that precept with their time and their resources. In one breath, people expound that idea but fail to give it the importance it deems necessary to keep it that way. We are witnesses of…Continue

"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."
- Earl Nightingale
I love this verse because it talks about the now, the present, the only thing that is real in our lives. I have witnessed too…Continue

This month's theme is FAMILY
"Cherish your human connections: your relationships with friends and family."
- Barbara Bush
I came from a very small family, I only had one brother and he passed away in 2010. It devastated me. He was someone I could call any time. He understood me and not only was he my brother, he was my friend. I still miss him to this day. I have been blessed with…Continue

I woke up this morning and really felt inspired to get our old business Ark Essentials up and running again. Maybe it has to do with Mr. whatever promoting his end of the world prophesy today. I read scripture, woke in my prayer journal and kicked my kid off the computer. I also changed my writer's group settings so I don't get tons of email from them daily but I can still check up online and asked for suggestions on opening up our publishing company to other writers.
