Nearly every week I try to ask a question for you to take a second to respond to. Some may be more thought provoking, some not so much. There is no right or wrong answer...only your answer. I hope you will take a moment to respond.
This week's question is What was your OH MY GOD Moment? OH MY GOD!

"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans."
- Peter Drucker
We live in a world of people who fear commitment. They are always making promises but when push comes to shove they make excuses. Commitment is never an easy thing to do but once it is done the rewards are amazing. Only as commitments are made is change inevitable. Commitments are what separate the dreamers from the…

"You need to make a commitment, and once you make it, then life will give you some answers."
- Les Brown
I love this quote because often in life we want to see the outcome or at least the steps necessary before we make a commitment. Sometimes in life this is not always possible. Sometimes we just need to make the commitment and believe that the steps will become visible. I always think about the scene in Indiana…
Every week I will pose a question for you to take a SECOND and think about and give your thoughts. Sometimes questions will be profound, sometimes simple, but meant to provocatively get you thinking and sharing. Take a few seconds and if you don't want to respond to the question on the blog, feel free to email me your response at…Continue

Welcome to this month's first Words of Wisdom for a Balanced Life. This month's theme is... COMMITMENT. Enjoy! I am not also offering WOWs for Aging or Divorce. If you or anyone you know may benefit, please visit my website at www.MeredithBromfield.com. :)
The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was…Continue

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family."
- Anthony Brandt
At the beginning of our life and at our final resting place, it is family that will be there. Friends come and go, careers, possessions, ambitions and anything else that we deem important in our lives have their season, but it is family that remains our constant.
Happy is the person that…Continue

"Family is the most important thing in the world."
- Princess of Wales Diana
I agree with this statement but I have often witnessed the very opposite. Somehow just because it is the most important thing many people fail to honor that precept with their time and their resources. In one breath, people expound that idea but fail to give it the importance it deems necessary to keep it that way. We are witnesses of…Continue

"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."
- Earl Nightingale
I love this verse because it talks about the now, the present, the only thing that is real in our lives. I have witnessed too…Continue

This month's theme is FAMILY
"Cherish your human connections: your relationships with friends and family."
- Barbara Bush
I came from a very small family, I only had one brother and he passed away in 2010. It devastated me. He was someone I could call any time. He understood me and not only was he my brother, he was my friend. I still miss him to this day. I have been blessed with…Continue

I woke up this morning and really felt inspired to get our old business Ark Essentials up and running again. Maybe it has to do with Mr. whatever promoting his end of the world prophesy today. I read scripture, woke in my prayer journal and kicked my kid off the computer. I also changed my writer's group settings so I don't get tons of email from them daily but I can still check up online and asked for suggestions on opening up our publishing company to other writers.

Let me be honest with you here. Yes I speak on my topics, but you also may know that I don’t actually preach from a church pulpit as a pastor would, and what others would call evangelize, but it’s obvious that God has everything to do with what my business is all about. I transform lives and help people find fulfilling purpose to live out their calling, and If God were not the center of my work, my business would not exist. To find Greatness is to find God, whether you believe in God or not.…Continue
"There is only one success to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it."
- Christopher Morley
I see people everywhere seeking success. Some seek success by being their own boss and in this way they are in control of their time and their future. Some seek success by climbing the corporate ladder which holds many slippery slopes…Continue

Greg Mortensen, author of the famous book, Three Cups of Tea and known for creating the Central Asia Institute and its mission to build schools in Afghanistan recently came under attack by another well known author, Jon Krakauer who once contributed financially to Mr. Mortensen's philantrophy.Unfortunately it seems there is much to substantiate Krakauer's claims that Mortensen has fabricated many of the details of the book as well as mismanaged the philanthropy's funds using it more for…Continue

"Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one's aim."
- John D. Rockefeller
This is an interesting quote in that many people fail to realize that whenever they focus on one thing it then becomes their purpose. Often people get fixated on something and they pour all their energy and drive into this one thing. If this thing is…Continue

"Character is that which reveals moral purpose, exposing the class of things a man chooses or avoids."
I often hear people telling me that they didn’t have a choice when something bad happened to them. I often will ask various questions and find out that yes that maybe a true statement at the time, but often there were decisions made prior to the event that were choices made.…Continue

"It is a psychological fact that you can influence your environment and thoughts. If you do so consciously and with high purpose, you can change your habits and attitudes for the better."
- Source Unknown
I love this quote because it empowers me to know that I can influence and change the things around me by changing the things inside of me. So often I have found people want to…Continue

"The secret of success is constancy of purpose."
I love the fact that everyone always wants to know what the secret to success is. Volumes of books have been written, various speakers go around the country giving speeches and thousands of people flock to buy these books and attend these speeches. Yet, the secret seems so simple. Constancy of purpose is…
