Anyone who has ever parented or worked with a young child knows how adamant he/she can become when they don't want help to achieve a task. Whether it's trying to reach a water fountain or learning to tie shoes, that line, "I can do it by myself." can send even the calmest adult into a tizzy.

That’s really the way our lives operate also, isn’t it. We need the things that give us traction to keep us going. One thing that keeps you going on your job are Motivation, Personal…

Monthly Budgeting, Don’t Wait, Just Do It.

Monthly Budgeting: Free monthly budget template below.

I have heard a lot of people give a lot of, ah-hum, “reasons” why they haven’t done a monthly budget in like, ever.

One of my (least) favorites is, “I don’t have any money, so what is the point?”

Answer: Part of the reason you don’t have any money is you don’t budget the money you do have.

These people are doing what? …waiting until they have money to start managing it? Are you waiting to lose 10 pounds before…

Too Far Out There for a Good Christian Like Me

One of the unexpected things for me with jumping into entrepreneurship has been the need for a healthy mindset and attitude. To be honest, I never gave my mindset and attitude much thought until a few years ago. I always saw this part of personal growth as superfluous and only for those who were a little far out there.

At the bookstore, I’d see the self-help books and be…

The Coach gets to be Coached!

Sometimes, the best help comes from our clients.

I have two clients: a budding entrepreneur and an amazing musician. They were both wanting more from life and I provided my coaching services to them.  The entrepreneur is now finding ways to get more income from his gaming group, and the musician now has a concrete plan in order to attack his career.  They both have a realistic, but challenging plan to double their income next year.

In the meantime, I have been struggling on my…

Need help for a friend of mine!

We have a friend who is stuck in the beginning of what looks to be a messy divorce.

He is a very controlling and restrictive personality, and she is trying to break free from that.

She is trying to find a way to continue home-schooling her son, and find some sort of income from an evening/night job or flexible hours income.

Her background is in childcare / daycare.  (she used to run her own years ago)  She has a very upbeat and perky…
