NOT JUST FOR WOMEN!
In writing my book on creativity I am including a section on vibrant health through tapping into your creative nature. I am convinced expanding your right brain is a key to better health and vitality.
Interestingly I am also at the menopausal age in life where I am able to devote time and energy into discovering where my own creative nature leads and am finding a new me I didn’t know was there. I am reading a ton of books, articles and quotes that feed into this belief that being…

One of the best decisions I made early on in my blogging career was to join the forums at 48Days.net. I discovered the forum by purchasing Dan Miller's best-selling book, "48 Days to The Work You Love". The book guided me to visit to Dan's featured site- 48days.com and it was there I learned of the opportunities to connect with other people at 48days.net.…

I’m Too Busy to Be Adventurous
Adventure is my top value and it’s something I live for each day along with a whimsy-like imagination. Those values allow me to live deeply and with vision.
Surprised?
It’s a moment by moment decision to choose adventure over comfort. And I recently learned a lot about this affirmation of me from co-author Jared…

From Lotto to Welfare
I read a story the other day about a recent million dollar lottery winner who still continued to receive welfare and was found dead from what they suspected was a drug overdose.
The entire story was just sad all the way around and I try not to focus on messages like these, but in brings us such an important message about money and the perspective that our world has on it.
A simple…

Reading "Wisdom Meets Passion" With My Teen Boys
I've been a big fan of Dan Miller for over 10 years, and am excited about the release of his newest book, Wisdom Meets Passion. Co-written with his son, Jared Angaza, Wisdom Meets Passion will help you discover how to make a difference - and a living - from pursuing your passion.
Dan and Jared held a special fundraiser on Indiegogo to buy advance hard copies of the book.
I bought four autographed hardback copies - one…

Just Cruisin'
Fall is almost here and before you know it we are going to be shoulder deep in the Christmas season! Along with that season, comes some pretty cold weather, especially here in TN. Personally, I can’t wait until February. Why? Because that is when my wife Lesa and I take our annual escape to the Caribbean! Every year we join Dan and Joanne Miller for their 48 Days Cruise. This year’s theme is Wisdom Meets Passion.…

Words of Wisdom: Serenity - Finale
QUOTE:
"Curiosity...endows the people who have it with a generosity in argument and a serenity in cheerful willingness to let life take the form it will."
- Alistair Cooke
INSPIRATION:
I never thought of curiosity having such great power as to give me peace in a situation, but I can see how that can. Imagine that when you are faced with a situation you look at it with the eyes of a child who has wonder and curiosity. A child does…

Words of Wisdom: Serenity - Part 4 of 5
QUOTE:
"Good humor is a tonic for mind and body. It is the best antidote for anxiety and depression. It is a business asset. It attracts and keeps friends. It lightens human burdens. It is the direct route to serenity and contentment."
- Grenville Kleiser
INSPIRATION:
They say when you smile the world smiles with you. Finding humor in a situation is wonderful. Some of my greatest challenges later…

Words of Wisdom: Serenity - Part 3 of 5
QUOTE:
"Serenity is knowing that your worst shot is still pretty good."
-Johnny Miller
INSPIRATION:
We are so very hard on ourselves in things that we do or try to do. Give yourself a break - realize you tried so maybe it didn’t work out the way you thought it should. No reason to keep beating yourself up over that - give yourself points for having tried. Baseball is an interesting game. We pay millions of dollars to batters who hit the…

Words of Wisdom: Serenity - Part 2 of 5
QUOTE:
"Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm."
- Anonymous
INSPIRATION:
So often people run from storms in their lives by doing everything possible to avoid them.In life, there will always be storms - that's life. I feel that in life you are either just out of a storm, you are in a storm or there is a storm in your future. So if this is true, learning how to have serenity in the midst of a storm is…
