What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently employed full time as maintenance technician which I do on second shift. I started a small repair business last year but, have since switched gears. I am moving into the area of public speaking by presenting the 48 days seminars.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
I hope to help people realize their career ambitions and generate a passive income stream for myself.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
In 2009 I want to complete the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C. I have been in training for over a year now and cannot wait for this fall!
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Motivating myself and others to achieve what they thought impossible!

Two types of People

Posted on March 7, 2009 at 2:56am 1 Comment

There are two kinds of men who will never amount to much.

Those who cannot do as they are told.

And those who can do nothing else.

-Cyrus H.K. Curtis

Those who cannot do as they are told.

This group of people include unruly employees, criminals and average people. The first two kinds of people should be self evident. The average person in this group may come as a surprise. These average people only scrape by, living from paycheck to paycheck even… Continue

Taking 100% Accountability

Slow Learner

Maybe I am a slow learner or perhaps American Culture has conditioned me to create excuses instead of creating results. That last sentence is in and of itself an excuse. Anyway, my point is that I am 33 years old and this concept that I am 100% responsible for the results I am getting in my seems like a new one. It took hearing and reading this concept from personal development gurus like Jack Canfield to get me to realize this! Everything that I do not like in my… Continue

News Flash: College is a Scam !

Posted on January 17, 2009 at 2:04pm 4 Comments

Anyone watch 20/20 last night? If you didn't stay up that late please watch the video at their site ABC. Essentially 20/20 is doing an expose on the fact that college graduates are having a tough time finding a job after investing a lot of financial resources on an education.

Where's my Golden Ticket?

College was never intended to be used as a golden ticket or qualifier for a specific job! Instead it is intended to provide a fundamental skill set that an individual… Continue

The most motivating person EVER!!!

Posted on January 14, 2009 at 7:46pm 1 Comment

Nick Vujicic is the most resilient, inspired and motivating human I have ever seen! For a person to live one minute of one day in his condition and not feel that God has cursed them is a testament to the human spirit. It makes me sad to think that I have even considered some of my problems "big".

Nick has taken what would be considered a death sentence to most of us and turned it into a business that lifts peoples spirits up and encourages… Continue

Lesson 2 Focus on Strengths

Posted on January 13, 2009 at 7:01pm 0 Comments

In Daniel Pink's The Adventures of Johnny Bunko, as well as in many other career and personal development guides we are encouraged to focus on our strngths and to de-empasize or eliminate as many of our weaknesses as possible. This is Bunko's second lesson and I think that it is a valuable one.

Get Started!

In order to focus on strengths you must first identify them. I find that Dan's personality profile is a great tool to help get some clarity on areas that you… Continue

Hi.

I'm a Groups administrator w/48days. I noticed that your Greater Louisville Kentucky group has not had any activity since last October. Typically, groups that have been inactive for 3 months are removed. Do you have plans to reactivate your group soon? It sounds like it could have plenty of potential. But if not, I will be happy to take it down for you.

Thanks for your prompt attention.

The mystery is how do we control results
"....and emotionalized with a burning desire for it's realization, will take over by the subconscious mind and acted upon immediately.."
_ Napoleon Hill

the law of attraction seems , by definition to mean simply to think is enough...however it must lead to action ...as said by by a trainer of personl growth for 20 years ...
"thought requires emotion to charge the thought, to breath life into it=action!"

Mike,

Hello. I appreciate your kind welcome. I own Jack Canfields to most recent books on the Law of Attraction and Success Principles. They have been most helpful to me. I am in the midst of fine tuning my business' niche market, brand, tag line, etc... I will be interested in joining your discussion group in the future.

Best regards,

Ron

thanks...but you guys are missing the point. I'm looking for help with determining whether it's worth while to travel to TN for the one-day seminar or if I should start with the Teachers Kit?

Appreciate all the welcomes but the best way to attract a customer is to provide a little value first, right?

Good luck on the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's event Mike! I did my first mini with them in Phoenix, January 08', and it was very rewarding. Let me know if you do any local fundraising meals. My husband and I would love to support you and we love to eat!!
