Randy Little said… Chuck,
Thanks for the note from a couple of weeks ago. One reason I join the Coaching group (and several others related to coaching) is, besides wanting to learn more, that a colleague and I are exploring integrating "life coaching" into academic advising. I have the academic advising part down fairly well, but would like to glean folks thoughts on how to help students think longer term than just next semester's schedule.
My colleague has had to cancel a couple of meetings in the last couple of weeks. We are trying to get together to identify some key questions to ask, to perhaps focus the topic a bit. I look forward to what you and the others have to share. One goal is a presentation at the annual meeting of NACADA (Nat'l Academic Advising Assoc.), and maybe a journal article sometime too.
On an unrelated topic:
I also just recently joined another of your groups and asked a question about developing an idea and marketing it. (I guess I should just come to CO sometime...;-) )
Thanks again for your note - I look forward to working with and learning from the 48 Days Coaches.

Thanks for the welcome! This community looks great - I would be interested in your perspective about the viability of a financial coaching business and the Dave Ramsey financial counseling training. I am considering attending his week long training and would like to get feedback from previous attendees. I have sent out several emails to financial coaches that I have found through internet searches. All of the feedback that I have received so far has been positive about the training but alot of the comments have been that financial coaching is more of a ministry than a for-profit business.
Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am really looking forward to learning from you and the folks here at 48days. (Looking forward to joining the coaching group at FAA as well - as soon as I pass task-master Jimi's course!)
Kindest Regards.
