Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Back in 2008, I met Dan Miller when he was a guest speaker at CEO fellowship meeting. I had also heard Dave Ramsey speak of Dan Miller. I hope to glean a little insight to how others are finding success and implement new ideas into my endeavors. I will share my lessons learned to help others find success.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I have an architectural consulting business that I started in April 2008 after being downsized. For second streams of income while I build my client base, I am an adjunct instructor for drafting and design at a local tech school. Being a pet lover, I also started a pampered pet service to allow pet parents to keep their pets at their home or mine so that they can be comfortable and roam free instead of spending time in a kennel while their parents are away.
I also have rental property that own and manage. I have created a business Bright Ventures REO investing to buy and sell distressed property and work with motivated sellors.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I strive to follow the path that the Lord directs me to follow. That is not easy as I get sidetracked with my own wants to feel secure. My goals/dreams are to provide for my needs and give back to others. Doing something I love that uses my talents, allows me to put something away for a rainy day, while being free to travel and volunteer. I also have other ideas I would like to implement such as producing less expensive SAD lights.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I seek to find my soulmate to share my dreams and be a travel companion. I would like to combine my talents, love for travel and volunteering to do construction mission trips and disaster relief. I am always pursuing self improvement.

I am VP/treasurer of Love Helps, inc. It is a local non profit with a mission to educate and affirm children toward responsible behavior through positive character development using diverse programs. I dream of it being financed to bring the programs to more children locally and to spread nationally. Check out www.lovehelps.org
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
detail oriented, dependable, organized, curious about how things are put together.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
http://www.linkedin.com/in/brightventures
More than one website?
http://brightventuresreo.com
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
architectural consulting, real estate investing, property management, pampered pets, SAD lights.

Pennies from Heaven

Posted on January 18, 2009 at 6:32pm 1 Comment

Does anyone else see or find things that remind them that you have a guardian angel or someone from heaven is watching trying to tell you not to worry that things are going to be OK?

I found a penny today

Just laying on the ground

But it is not just a penny

This little coin I’ve found…

Found pennies come from Heaven

That’s what my Grandpa once told me

He said Angels toss them down

Oh, how I loved that story…

He said when and Angel… Continue

Protect your mind from negative thoughts

A friend sent this to me regarding reading "How Would Love Respond?"
by Kurek Ashley, powerful insight
and decided to share it with you today.

Here it is...

"If you don't make a habit of stimulating your mind
with positive, empowering thoughts, the chances of
negative, disempowering thoughts getting in there
and wreaking havoc dramatically increase.
Negative, disempowering thoughts are weeds that
can destroy your crop of happiness."

Hey Elaine,

I've been meaning to message you but keep forgetting. I just seen your name on a post and while it is fresh on my mind, thought I drop you a line.

It was really good meeting you at the Sanctuary. You're a very kind person. No doubt we'll run into each other again there. Isn't that ONE awesome place to be?

Have a super blessed day, -Archie

I really can identify with your uncertainty right now. I was in the same situation six years ago when I launched my on business in similar circumstances. Be sure that your work is authentic to you, and solves your prospects greatest needs.

Since it sounds like you're struggling a bit with marketing & selling, pick up "Book Yourself Solid" by Michael Port ASAP and dive into it. It will BSA tremendous help!

Be encouraged!
