How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Dan's Podcast.

Over the last 3 years here I've been thrilled to connect with like-minded professionals to share resources, idea, inspiration and make some wonderful friends. There are enough forces working against us, we need to work together.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Own and run 2 companies:

An eCommerce direct to patient, B2C eCommerce company that helps people as they recover on one foot . GoodbyeCrutches.com

Also coach, consult and teach on how solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and small business owners can Accelerate Their Growth by harnessing the power of the internet. TMSchwab.com
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To empower other business owners with a clear understanding or how to use modern tools to rapidly build their companies in an old fashion way: Delight Your Customers. My dream is to do more or what energizes me: Coach, Teach, Write and Speak.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I used to dream of retiring, but the older I get the more I enjoying my business life (can't call it work). My dream is to use my talents to do creative things with friends until the Lord call me home. My proudest accomplishment and most cherished thing is my family, including my first Granddaughter born in June 2014.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Type A overachiever. Gallup says I'm a Maximizer, Activator, Achiever, Individualist and a Mentor. DISC says I'm a high D, I.

My education and background makes me uniquely capable of taking the complex and building systems that work.

I ran Navy nuclear reactors my first job out of college. It was easier than running an online business until you understand the strategy and have the systems and procedures.

Is Fear worse than Murder?

Posted on June 10, 2015 at 7:00pm 14 Comments

The Bible tells us "not to fear" 365 times.  That's one for every day of the year.  It must be very important.

It also says, "do not kill". By my count, it's said a lot less often.

  • Fear is more of a Righteousness issue; how we relate to…

I wish my God was as big as his

Posted on June 5, 2015 at 7:42am 5 Comments

I've got a friend who amazes me.  Not just for what he's done, but what he believes he can do.  His dreams are big.  His doubts and fears are small.

The reasons why have become obvious to me.  The answer comes not just in his words, but in his actions.  He actually believes he was made in the image of his God. He really believes the promises his God made to him: He is loved, favoured and that he can do all things through Him who empowers him.  If he asks, he knows God will answer.…

FIRE FOR EFFECT: What the Navy taught me about being an Entrepreneur

Posted on July 22, 2014 at 9:30am 1 Comment

One of the classic images of the Navy is the Battleship firing all guns broadside.  You can see the flames and the shock wave.  You can imagine the impact of the 16 inch shells.  Nine projectiles, each weighing as much as your car, simultaneously hit a target over 10 miles.

This iconic image taught me more about marketing than I learned in my MBA.  Since you paid for my college education…

Why April 11th is not Independence Day

Posted on July 4, 2014 at 12:00pm 4 Comments

Have you ever considered that we mark our nation's Independence Day on the day we declared it, not the day someone else acknowledged it?

  • On July 4, 1776 we declared independence
  • On April 11, 1783 Great Britain acknowledged it.

When our founding fathers decided the only thing they were certain was that the following days were going to be tough....very tough.  Yet we remember being free when we decided, not when someone else…
