How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Heard about through Dan's Pod casts

Hope to connect with other like minded professionals to share resources and ideas. There are enough forces working against us, we need to work together.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Self employed, owner of a direct to patient, B2C eCommerce company that helps people as they recover on one foot . GoodbyeCrutches.com
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To build this and other companies so that I can serve ever more people: customers and team members. Ultimately being rewarded with long term wealth for me and my family.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I used to dream of retiring, but the older I get the more I am enjoying my business life (can't call it work). My dream is to use my talents to do creative things with friends until the Lord call me home. My proudest accomplishment and most cherished thing is my family, including my first Granddaughter due in June 2014.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Type A overachiever. Gallup says I'm a Maximizer, Activator, Achiever, Individualist and a Mentor. DISC says I'm a DI. I continue to learn and build on a diverse background that only makes sense in the rear view mirror: Naval Officer (yes I ran nuclear reactors on the largest ship), corporate world, sales, management, entrepreneur.

20 Things Halloween Taught Me About Business

Posted on October 28, 2011 at 11:30am 0 Comments

As I look back on it I learned a lot of lesson while Trick or Treating at Halloween that I use in my business ever day.

  1. Be Creative:  Going as a hungry teenager is bound to keep you a hungry teenager. Another ghost gets another sweet tart.  Yet if you amaze them, make them smile, make them laugh they will smile as they joyfully give you handfuls of candy and look forward to seeing you next year.

Turning $10 into a profitable charity

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 8:31am 0 Comments

In January of 1999 a local church gave out envelopes filled with random amounts of money. Those who received them were instructed to use them for the Lord (Matthew 25). One steward used her entire $10 to buy chocolate to drizzle over homemade caramel corn which she sold to family and friends. At the end of the year she returned over $800. A decade latter this $10 has grown into a thriving business called Taste of Heaven (www.drizzle.org) that supports… Continue

Hi Tom -- Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity.

I see you taken the Strengths Finder. That's an awesome tool. I use it with all of my clients. Has it been useful for you?

Depending on what your interests are, there is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with.

One group that is worth looking into is 180 Service Station.
Good stuff going on in there.

Another group you'll want to stop by is the 4 points coaching compass. That's my group. One of my friends is leading the discussion this week, the power of belief, and we would love to get your insights.
