Douglas Rushkoff has very cool take on everything happening today in the Corporate world, and that Life Inc. is an icredible message on it. Keep following your gut, and don't settle for less than what you expect. So expect the best.

worthy goal

I know this is going to sound selfish to some of you but sometimes I think I should just quit my job and do something else. Of course I know I need to find that other something before I quit but I don’t know what I would do in place of it. I think it would be fair to start by identifying what it is that I don’t like about my job. At least that might help me to know what I need to avoid.

The first thing I don’t like about my job is the corporate culture. On one end you have a very self centered… Continue

I’m just here for the money

I work at a company with about 900 people; 200 salary, 600 hourly and about 100 subcontractors. I was in a leadership meeting today, when the Pant Manager said, “…because come on, we are all here for one reason – the money, right?” I raised my hand and said, “I have a pet peeve with that; money may be the common denominator but when you say, “We are just here for the money”, it sends a message that nothing else matters.

We have to remember that all the dynamics that get us there are important t… Continue

Way cool what you're doing with the airplane! I love when I see an idea where I think to myself, "Gee...I never thought about doing something like that!" What a clever, creative idea!

Thanks for leaving the comment on my blog post, btw. :)

Hey Tim! Thank you so much for that beautiful story you left on my page. I LOVE it! I see that you live in Bradyville, TN. I have no idea where that is, but I started a group called the "Nashvillians" and we would love to have you as a member. We do a lot of networking with locals within that group. I think you might like it. I also sent a friend request to you and am looking forward to getting to know you better.

Yes, I started a few years ago but have run in to a few complications that have required some downshifting. I’ve been in granny low for a while but have recently shifted back in to 1st gear.

The nest step is to finish a dolly that will be installed under the fuselage so that I can move it to Bradyville, where I’m living. I’ll remodel the inside and reassemble the outside and paint it while it is still on the ground.

The plane is a retired TWA - B727. Here are a few pictures of the dolly.

And here is the shameless glamour shot.

Hi,

I want to personally extend an invitation to you to join the group I am the host for a group called "Making A DREAM" where we are discussing our dreams and what we are doing to make them happen!

If you are interested in starting a business, I would like to invite you to challenge yourself with a FREE 7 day eCourse on my website. I offer this free because I want to introduce people to a different way of planning a business, the Agile way.

A Vision with out a Goal is just a Dream
A Goal without a Plan Is just a Wish

I hope you will join me in not just setting GOALS but making Agile PLANS to meet them.

Peace

Welcome. So glad you have joined all of us. The airplane house is awesome. I was in the Navy for 8 years and often wondered how cool it would be to have a home made from a Navy Warship. That would be pretty cool.

Again Welcome. Take care and God Bless.

Tim -- welcome to 48Days.net. Yeah I guess it has been about 10 years since we first met. You'll find this to be a very warm, encouraging and innovative group that thinks like you do about ideas. Incidentally if you're looking for an idea you might want to check out the blog I posted on Friday -- http://www.48days.net/profiles/blogs/need-an-idea-or-money -- on finding ideas and money. Lots of possibilities out there right now.

Delighted to have you join the group! Dan Miller
