How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?

My husband turned me on to this website, and hope to gain insights into how entrepreneurs gain more success in their businesses.

What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?

I'm self-employed, owning my own career consulting, job search coaching, and resume writing business. I work both locally and nationwide, and my clients are generally mid to high level professionals, mostly making six figures. I absolutely LOVE what I do!

And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?

I'm loving what I do and doing what I love... I can't think of anything better than that!

I would love to be able to reach more people to help them find the job they love and deserve. This economy is so full of people who need my assistance. I need to leverage my time so that I can help more clients.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?

I'd also like to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle in 2010.

What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?

Communication - I can talk effectively with people at all levels, and can write effective sales copy as well as resumes that really get results. I also have a knack for helping people define themselves, and point them in the direction to get what they want. I'm also very analytical, and enjoy spreadsheets - I'm truly a numbers geek.

I help people with the job search process; I have a unique "product marketing" approach to job searching that gets much better results than just hunting through the job boards every day. I also help people define who they are, and what they truly want to do for a living, and instruct them on how to get a position that energizes them every day. The resumes I write are based on advertising principles, and leave the reader wanting more - in other words, they get my clients a phone call. The resumes are designed to highlight the skills and achievements that can transfer into any industry, while minimizing any liabilities the client may have (age, unemployment, etc.). I give clients a step-by-step action plan designed to take them to the next step in their career.
