Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?: I heard about 47Days.NET at 90.1 WMBI in Chicago - Moody Radio ( of famed Moody Bible Institute ). this radio station is one of the blessings I have received since being in the Chicago area (altho' I am actually northwest - even closer to Wisconsin). I purchased Dan's 2 books "48 Days to the Work You Love" and "No More Mondays" and a fire was sparked in me. It's a long story..if anyone wants the details I'll be glad to testify. Anyway, I hope to receive encouragement & support from being part of this community, not to mention possible tips & ideas for my journey. But also, I want to learn to SHARE..I have a lot to give and have been shut away and somewhat introverted due to some bad choices and some bad incidences in my life. I am trying to turn that around now - I am the prodigal daughter and since returning to the Lord, my life has been more than I had hoped for. Even tho' I am currently unemployed due to lay-off and trying to get things started at home, without even really having a clue what I am doing - I have had this enormous flood of peace & faith to see me thru. And even now, as I write - tears of gratitude fall - knowing that I am already truly blessed to have found this network. Thanks again to all who set it up and for all who participate. What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?: Laid off in Oct. 2008. Was warranty admin. (both dealer & fleet) for 25 years. Currently holding part-time jobs, learning to blog, set up a web-page & network. I have set up a web-page, but sadly..there is nothing really on it yet..stay tuned..I'm working on it.

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?: To turn the truama of my life into a testimony of God's goodness & grace. I want to write and I would love to learn graphic design. Goals involve going back to school - for language arts/communications and design. Eventually would like to write a book, but would love to give/share/witness & testify all along this journey.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?: Individual counseling for both personal progress and marriage enrichment. Hoping to turn the traumatic past into a positive future for God's glory.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?: Very detailed. Love to research, dig, get-to-the-bottom. Very creative. Loyal. Good & honest friend. My nickname is 'bulldog", if that tells you anything. I grab hold & don't let go! Detemined. Kind & compassionate. Many years of experience dealing with disablilty - my sister has Downs Syndrome.

Try by doing a search on your computer for - website templates - you should find many sites that offer different looks for little or no $$. I use a Mac computer and Iweb comes with it. It offers simple templates where you drag and drop pictures and text and can have a site up and running in a few hours. Let me know how your are progressing.
